A run has two advantages. Either you make a touchdown or you get the first down.

If you get the first down, then you can be assured that the Chiefs won't have enough clock to work with.

The worst thing that can happen is if you get stuffed. But that's no worse than an incomplete pass.

When you pass, there are equal chances of three things. 33% chance of a completion, 33% chance of an incompletion, 33% chance of an interception.

Now if it were 4th and goal from the 5, I would have said, "pass your heart out."

Looks like last week to me. We played like crap last week but were fortunate to play against a lousy offense that was playing without their best player. We are getting gouged by the run and can't get pressure on the QB. We haven't forced a punt yet.
