Alot of talk about Cowher, Gruden, Fisher, etc. getting back into coaching and saving the Dolphins.
When is the last time a coach retired for a few years, took time off or became a broadcaster, then got back into coaching and was successful long term?

Thats one reason why Gruden would be my only choice of the bunch...and then MAYBE, MAYBE, Joe Philbin, because I like his system, it's agressive. Gruden I believe has the energy, passion, and desire to put in the time required, and to get the job done...I can't say that about any of the other re-tread candidates.
Cowher would be our logical choice because he quit coaching and we love quitters... Jimmy Johnson, & Nick Saban.
Cowher would bring us a power running game and a physical defense. He falls from the Schottenheimer coaching tree with his contempories Cam Cameran, Herm Edwards, & Tony Dungy. Perfect fit.
Fisher? I doubt that would induce any excitement.
Gruden? It would be fun until we see his dink and dunk west coast offense w/ a Jeff Garcia type at the helm.
