I would like to see a lot more of Anderson. He has had a number of good pass rushes during the season. He looks very fast.

Hopefully he comes up strong on this last run through the playoffs. We need every break we can get.

He has made alot of great plays, actually these past few games I havent seen him much and I think it is because for some reason his playing time is reduced. Outside of porter I think he is the next most disruptive LB that we have. But that is just my opinion.

Crowder is the most disruptive LB after porter. Crowder has made some great plays this year. Ive seen him made quite a few including some tackles for losses.

I do not remember hearing charlie andersons name called at all this year. Exept yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The part I don't like is he is replacing Porter. Why not play both on passing downs unless Porter is hurt or gassed?

you cant be serious!!!

here are charlie Andersons stats since I dont know where you are at during game time.

23 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1 safety, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery

This is from a guy that gets limited playing time. I have watched every game this year and believe me he is very disruptive when he gets a chance to play. Then numbers speaks for themselves. If this guy was a starter or got alot more snaps no question he makes plays and put alot of pressure on the qb as you saw yesterday.

hey essay (spoken in my best spanish voice) i do agree with you that he should be playing with porter and not subbing for him... I think that he is the disruptive force that we are looking for when people are chipping and doubling porter.

Yes iam serious i havent heard his name called at all this year. And ive seen every game. Now that i think about it his name was called twice on special teams for holding penalties including that hold on GINNS LONG return for a TD.

He is a backup for a reason.

And all those 20 plus tackles were probably gang tackles between 3 or 4 defenders thats why they havent called his name once. And his lone sack was yesterday. He finnally contributes for a change.

Anderson is a speed rush guy, and they put him in when the matchup looks good. Yesterday, Anderson was spelling Roth with Anderson on passing downs, so that should tell you what they think of Buffalo's big Oline.

I don't think this means that Anderson is the "man". We have been platooning everyone this season. He just happened to have the hot hand today.

Anderson has done a good job as a pass rusher all season. He doesn't take Porter's place. He usually takes Roth's place. And sometimes he lines up as the LDE. In very limited playing time, Anderson has 1.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and 0.5 tackles for a loss or no gain. By comparison, Channing Crowder, who is in on every play and has blitzed a lot, has 0 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, and 3 tackles for a loss or no gain.

It's truly amazing how unproductive Crowder is when it comes to impact plays. In his entire career, he has 1.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, 0 INT, and 10.5 tackles for a loss or no gain. As a bench player, in his career, Anderson has 4.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, and 5 tackles for a loss or no gain.

I hope charlie anderson has another stellar game against the 49ers.

Im sitting here wondering why anderson isn't starting over crowder if crowder is so unproductive.

Stats don't tell the whole story. This difference is Crowder is an ILB and Anderson plays OLB. Different position...different stats.

The comparison doesn't make sense. Anderson plays OLB on strictly passing downs. Crowder plays ILB on ALL downs. Crowder not only plays on a different spot on the field and has different responsibilities, he has to deal with the possibility of a running play. It's a lot more to think about. Anderson, on the other hand, can just rush all-out for the QB whenever he's in. If he happens to reach a RB that has the ball in the backfield, that's a bonus.

Actually, he did take Porter's place last week. I distinctly remember the announcer saying that Anderson in to replace Porter. I don't know how many times but he did do it.

Of course, Crowder has spent a good chunk of his career playing OLB. And it is remarkable at how few impact plays he has made. He also blitzes a lot, and still only has 1.5 sacks in his career.

For a better comparison:
Channing Crowder career stats- 1.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 3 fumble recoveries, 0 INT, 10.5 tackles for loss or no gain
Derrick Pope career stats (4 years as a backup ILB and now out of the league)- 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 INT, 7.5 tackles for loss or no gain

Channing Crowder is one of the least productive LB in the NFL. I like the guy. I just wish he was a better player. He has no instincts.

Crowder is no zach thomas thats for sure. But he hasn't play at all that bad this year. I think he has done a decent job.

You mean the same announcer who kept referring to Ricky Brown and Ronnie Williams? I'm surprised at the number of people who don't seem to know Anderson's role on the team. He has played a lot this season. He usually replaces Matt Roth at SOLB, and on 3rd downs often lines up as the LDE. Sometimes he lines up as the WOLB and Porter switches sides. Quentin Moses is the usual replacement for Porter at WOLB, but Porter rarely comes out of the game.

Let's see. Crowder was drafted by Saban and has had to play for pitiful coordinators on terrible teams. How much did Roth do before this year? Pope doesn't play for Miami anymore.

Saying Crowder is the LEAST PRODUCTIVE LB in the NFL is absolutely ridiculous. I bet there are tons of bench warmers that have barely smelled a tackle. Zach thought the guy would be great. I consider ZT a good judge of players.
