Do any of you have any idea how long it normally takes to come back from an injury like that? Not sure myself. I was just curious if he would be ready by the beginning of next season.

he is done for this year for sure....it may take him a while. To be honest, with our youth...he may lose his starting spot next year.

I don't know which bone he broke, anyone?

If he does, that will likely be good news (we'll have someone BETTER!!). I say, even if Smiley retires, keep him on as an assistant coach. The guy has the right attitude and drive.

Has someone heard something that I haven't? I understood that it was a bad break above the ankle. I didn't hear about any injury to the joint or any nerve damage. Assuming it was just the bone and there is no necrosis, then he should come back as strong as before.
