Ah wait for it hell no when are you guys going to get it through your thick skulls that great athletes don't make great QB's necessarily. I mean yes Pryor is fast, and big and elusive, but he can't throw the damn ball 20 yards from the pocket. So maybe you draft him in the late rounds to be your wildcat QB, and nothing more. He is too raw to ever develop into a good quality professional QB. Plus too me he is bad news, and trouble follows this young man where ever he goes, and we don't need more conterversy or contreversial players on this team. IMHO we already have one too many as it stands.

Pryor in the wildcat with the abilty to throw the ball better than most running backs now that would intrigue me somewhat.

Who was a better college passer, Tebow or Pryor?

Yes, we should sign him...even if it's to let him play special teams the first year, and maybe return some kicks while he learns. We simply can't have too many big, fast, athletic, guys on the roster. If he develops as a QB, great, if not, then we find a spot for him at another position.

We shouldn't sign him with the promise of anything...given his history we make him earn it.

If that's aimed at my question, I asked that out of ignorance, I don't watch enough college FB to truly know, I've heard the same thing about both though, neither was a great pure passer.......who was better?

Clearly Tebow was the better passer while Pryor was by far the better athlete. Pryor has wide reciever speed Tebows runs about 4.65 not too shabby, but definately not world class like Pryor. So they are both like Newton clearly projects that should not have been or should of ever been taken in or near the 1st round.

You don't win Super Bowls by being conservative. You must take calculated risks, and this is a risk worth taking.

I would give up no more than a 5th. It gives you a year to work with him and see if you can turn this elite athlete into a quarterback. He wouldn't have to play this year and could be groomed carefully and taught the offense. Instead of wasting another year reinforcing bad habits at the college level, you get to fine tune him.

During that time, you get a better sense as to whether he can actually develop. If not, then you try him at another position and know that you have to draft a quarterback sooner.

Speaking of trying at another position, I ask why it has to be on offense. I suggest that he could be a bad ass pass rushing linebacker with that kind of size and speed.

What has to happen for us to get him? How many teams have to pass for him to drop into our laps?

Yes we should take him as high as a 3rd and consider a secon. Pryor is better tha both Tebow and Cam. Read one stat where he has more TD throws in lass attempts in his first 3 years than Elway or Manning. Anyone who says he cannot throw 20 yards from the pocket is an idot, look at his hs film.

We should take Pryor but I am sure we will not.

We do consider.

This also begs the question....

What did we give up to get Reggie Bush? Anyone? Anyone?

It's like a regular draft starting out in the 1st round, any team can take him in whatever round they deem him worthy. It all depends on what pick you want to give up in next years draft.

to me Pryor is a bigger version of Tavaris jackson, and if any of you have watched the Seattle pre season games you know that they without question have the worst starting QB in the NFL. So I have watched Pryor play, and have watched him beat the sisters of the poor by scrambling and running for 1st downs. He however clearly is a project that may never be polished enough to even be third string on some teams roster. So if you want to take him in the 1st round because you believe he is better than Scam or Tebow then you my friend are not a very good talent evaluator. Remember I was the one who stated how this team would live to regret the fact that we took Pat White in the 2nd round, and people on this web site spewed hatred towards me but I was right. Pryor is not I repeat not a pro QB, and the team that takes will have wasted a draft pick on a selfish me 1st program killer.

Um how about we trade Merling, Sheets and next years third round pick for Chris Johnson instead?
