*** DOLPHINS TRAINING CAMP ***
Aug 21, 1999: -- Day 24 - Aug 19th --
TODAY'S REPORT:
Before I begin today's report, I want to let you know that I
have two very big surprises that I hope you will enjoy. Fans from San
Diego have supplied me with both pictures and streaming video of
Thursday's practices in San Diego. Jason has sent me some digital
pictures and the Van Man has set up a server that has streaming video
of the practices on it.
In order to access these, you must have access to the web,
because there's much too much stuff to send out in an email or a
newsgroup posting. The digital pictures are on my website and the
streaming video is on another web site. Check the links at the bottom
of this report for the URLs.
The Dolphins practiced twice with the Chargers on Thursday and
got some good work in against their west coast foes. Unfortunately,
the biggest news of the day was when Ryan Leaf (who was watching from
the sidelines) got into a confrontation with an obnoxious fan. No
blows were exchanged, but Leaf managed to get himself on ESPN again
while having - shall we say - a "discussion" with this fan".
Also, on the field, Dolphins' offensive lineman John Bock got
into a little fight with a San Diego player, prompting JJ to say after
the practice that 3 practices with an opposing team was about the
maximum that you can have without tempers getting too heated.
RB Karim Abdul-Jabbar, DT Tim Bowens, DT Daryl Gardener and QB
Dan Marino were all held out of the afternoon practice. There is no
problem with any of these players, but JJ decided to give them the
afternoon off.
Apparently QB Damon Huard was having some trouble passing on
Thursday while Craig Erickson improved enough to create real
competition at the backup QB spot. Unfortunately, Larry Shannon did
not have a very good day on Thursday, dropping some passes. Robert
Baker, however, continues to improve.
I'll let the eyewitness reports (we have 3 today), pictures and
streaming video tell the rest of the story about Thursday practices for
you. Enjoy!
OUTSTANDING PLAYS:
Apparently, WR Robert Baker had the play of the day, hauling in
a deep pass from Damon Huard. But CB Ray Hill also had a good day,
getting a couple of interceptions and a fumble recovery. And FB Rob
Konrad caught 3 passes in the 2 minute drill, including a touchdown.
JJ'S COMMENTS:
As I've already pointed out, JJ said that 3 workouts with
another team is about the maximum that you can have without having some
serious problems. But, JJ did say that the team got a lot out of
working with the Chargers.
JJ went on to praise WR Robert Baker and DB Ray Hill for their
work on Thursday and said that RB Cecil Collins did work on Thursday
afternoon, despite having suffered a stinger in his shoulder on
Thursday morning.
ROSTER MOVES:
There were none on Thursday.
FUTURE EVENTS:
The Dolphins practiced by themselves on Friday morning, without
the Chargers. They face San Diego on Saturday night at Qualcomm
stadium for the 2nd pre-season game of 1999.
JJ plans to give Dan Marino a lot more work this week than he
got against the Saints last week. Also, we should see both Karim
Abdul-Jabbar and Cecil Collins line up with the first team offense
against the Chargers tough first string defense. That will give us a
better indication of how well Cecil performs against a real defense.
WR Lamar Thomas will not play on Saturday night, but Larry
Shannon, Yatil Green and Robert Baker are going to get a lot of playing
time against the Chargers. WR Tony Martin will also play, even though
he's been in Miami for most of the week.
Robert Baker will also get a lot of chances to return kicks and
perhaps even some punts.
Lining up at starting right guard will be Kevin Gogan, who was
moved ahead of Kevin Donnalley on the depth chart this week. However,
we'll also see Donnalley at right guard, with Gogan at left guard, Bock
at center and Mark Dixon at left tackle. There will be lots of
offensive line switching on Saturday night.
Also, you want to keep an eye on defensive backs Jerry Wilson
(#24), Ray Hill (#28) and Emmanuel McDaniel (#26). These three are
competing for the dime back position and the one with the best game
will advance his chances of making the team considerably.
The game will be broadcast in Miami on TV, Channels 4 (Dade,
Broward) and 34 (Palm Peach). It will also be available via realaudio
DirecTV has the following broadcast times and channels listed for the
Dolphins/Chargers game:
Sat - 11:00 PM EDT/8:00 PM PDT on Channel 653 (Fox Sports West 2)
Sun - 3:00 AM EDT/12:00 AM PDT on Channel 653 (Fox Sports West 2)
Sun - 8:00 PM EDT/5:00 PM PDT on Channel 634 (SportsChannel Florida)
INJURY REPORT:
WR Oronde Gadsden (back), FB Roosevelt Potts (calf), DE Walter
Scott (knee) did not make the trip to San Diego due to injuries. RB JJ
Johnson (strained left hamstring) and WR Nate Jacquet (sprained right
big toe) did not practice on Thursday morning and Cecil Collins also
missed some time after suffering a "stinger" in his left shoulder.
Collins did get some work in the afternoon practice. WR Lamar Thomas
suffered a partial dislocation of his left shoulder in the morning and
sat out the afternoon practice.
LB Sammie Burroughs (back) and LB O.J. Brigance (back) remain on
the clubĘs Active/Physically Unable to Perform List. LB Anthony Harris
(groin) is expected to be out 10-12 weeks as he recovers from surgery
performed on August 3.
EYEWITNESS REPORTS:
We have an embarrassment of riches in the eyewitness report
department today. First, we have Rick's report about the morning
practice, then we have a report from the Van Man (who sent up the
streaming video for us), a report from Dorian and a report from Jason,
who provided the pictures. First up is Rick:
First thing I'd like to say about Thursday's practice against the
Chargers is WOW! It was the first (and probably only) practice for the
Phins that I've been to and it was awesome.
We got to the UC San Diego campus at 8:45 after being told by the
Charger's public relations office that the first practice would start at
9:30. Well, it started at 9:00 instead so I'm glad we got there early
enough. The Dolphins were milling around on the field after being bused
to the field. The field itself was two full length fields, one to the
west which was near the bleachers and the other to the east which had no
bleachers. However, the fence surrounding the field was close to the
field allowing the several hundreds of fans that showed up a great view
of the action. The weather was great: 75 degrees and partly cloudy,
which probably made the Dolphins players very happy.
All players were dressed in shoulder pads and shorts for both practices.
Among those who made the trip but didn't dress were JJ Johnson, Nate
Jacquet, and Drew Rosenhaus...oops, I'm sorry he's not a player (but he
was fishing for new clients on the sidelines...weird to see him).
Because it was difficult to see everything at once (it was beyond a
three-ring circus), I'll talk about the practice regime first. I'll
then follow it with what I saw about individuals in practice.
At 9am, they started stretching. At 9:15, they broke off into groups of
o-line, d-line, LBs, DBs, and QBs and WRs/RBs together. Special teams
also started, specifically kickoffs. Avery, Marion, Baker, and Kio
Sanford (#1) returned the kicks. At 9:30, the special teams got
together for the teams and practiced, which occurred near the bleachers
and I didn't watch it since most the Dolphin's activities were on the
opposite field. At 9:45, the teams offenses and defenses practiced
individually. At 10:00 and the rest of practice, the opposing offenses
and defenses got together for drills and game type situations: 1st and
10, 3rd and 5, red zone, and two-minute drill. The afternoon practice
followed pretty much the same pattern.
Now for the individual analysis (I spent most of the day watching the
offense because that is where most of the new players are):
QB's:
Marino was right on for most of the day; at least the morning
because he sat out the afternoon practice after coming off the field
with an ice pack on his elbow(?) after the first practice. The thing I
saw that I liked was his improved long passing ability; he connected
several times deep with Yatil Green and others. Hope his arm is okay.
Huard did well, especially in the two-minute drill where he connected
twice to Rob Konrad for 40 yards and a TD. He wasn't as consistent when
with the starters in the afternoon.
Erickson did well also. His passes seemed to have some zip to them. He
also connected deep to Parmalee in the afternoon practice.
Gonzales was almost non-existent. He struggled when he did exist.
RB's:
Jabbar had some good runs but nothing spectacular; he also missed the
afternoon practice for unknown reasons (at least to me). Overall, the
Chargers defensive line was fairly stifling, as there stats last year
would support.
Collins' was tackled for a loss by Junior Say-Ow! on his first run and
banged up his shoulder and he didn't practice again in the morning.
When I interviewed him after the first practice (as I asked for his
autograph), I asked him how the shoulder felt. He answered, "It's
okay". In the afternoon, he came in with the starters and added a spark
to the offense. His first run went right up the middle where he broke
into the secondary. The defense tried to get a little more physical
with him after that, throwing him to the ground a couple times. He
still did well; he can really make them miss tackles.
JJ Johnson was running while the practice was going on. I also
"interviewed" him and asked about the hamstring. He responded, "It's
getting better". Detailed interviews!
Parmalee had a very good day. He was the second-team RB and had several
good runs. More importantly, he caught at least two bombs down the
sidelines for TDs. He showed very good speed.
Avery was dropping passes and doing his little dances. I guess Jimmy is
not allowing him to even be the back-up running back.
Juan Johnson had a nice run in the afternoon but didn't get many shots.
Of the fullbacks, Rob Konrad made the big plays, especially in the
two-minute drill. He picked up his blitz assignments and caught the
ball well. The first catch in the drill was an out to the sidelines,
where he outran the defender for a 30-yard gain up the sidelines. The
next play was a nice over the shoulder catch in the endzone.
WRs:
McDuffie was terrific, consistently getting open and making ever catch,
though for relatively short yardage.
Lamar Thomas started opposite McDuffie. In the morning practices, he
caught many of the sideline passes thrown his way. Unfortunately, he
injured his shoulder in the afternoon practice when going for a bomb and
getting tangled with the DB. He was visibly upset when he left the
field to board the bus. It didn't look good; hope he is okay.
Yatil Green had a very good day, having the play of the day when he
caught a bomb from Marino, going up and colliding with the DB to catch
it; a very physical move. Other times, he showed great speed in getting
by the DBs.
Willie Green had some drops in the morning but played better in the
afternoon.
Shannon had a tough day. He dropped at least three catchable balls. He
made a great over the shoulder catch in the endzone to fans applause but
he knew he had one foot out-of-bounds. I "interviewed" him, asking how
he felt (in general). He said, "Very sore," with a smirk on his face.
In the afternoon, he did better.
Baker did well, catching one TD pass where he stole the ball from the
DB. But he also dropped some.
Steagull and Sanford had equal catches and drops, although Sanford did
get open deep once for a TD.
TE:
Hard to evaluate, but didn't make many mistakes. Perry had a nice low
catch as he was being hit.
OL:
I spent a lot of time watching these guys since I was an o-lineman in
high school. My first impression is how big these guys are. At the
fence, we were within 20 feet of them while they were running their
drills. It's hard to evaluate their performances but I made a couple of
observations:
First, I was pleasantly surprised to see how well Donnelley and Gogan
seem to get along despite them fighting for the same job now. They seem
to genuinely like each other.
The other thing I noted is that although Gogan seems to like to joke
around with everyone, he really likes to tweak Grey Ruegamer. Almost
every chance he gets, he's in Grey's face. At one point, they were
going one-on-one with Grey blocking Gogan. Grey got underneath Gogan,
made a good push, then just as he was about to get the best of Gogan,
Gogan throws Grey to the ground like a rag doll. The rest of the o-line
was hooting it up, also dogging the rookie. I "interviewed" Grey after
practice and said, "It looked like Gogan was getting the best of you
(which I now regret asking that way)". Grey's face turned from a smile
to a frown and he said, looking me square in the eye, "That's just part
of being a rookie". I'm just lucky that he didn't go Ryan Leaf on me
(By the way, I didn't see what happened but by the time it got around in
the afternoon practice, Leaf and the fan came to blows and Leaf was in
the hospital...it makes for good press).
To make this a bit shorter, I'll just summarize the little that I did
see of the defense. Overall, in the morning practice, the Chargers
offense was throwing down field on the our defense because they were
unable to run on us. They had little success in the morning. In the
afternoon, they completed a large number of long passes against our
defense, many times consisting of second stringers. However, T-Buck
made at least one terrific interception. Several Charger fans were
complaining that on most of the longer passes, the Dolphins had double
coverage, which is good for us. But it seemed to open the middle of the
field a bit more for the Chargers, which also seemed to be a problem in
the Saints game for our defense. Overall though, our defense did fairly
well against the Chargers offense.
Well that's it. I'm sorry it's so verbose but I've been pretty excited
about the whole experience. The good thing for you and your readers is
that my attending a practice will probably not happen again for a long
long time.
From the Van Man, we have the following report. He is also the
guy responsible for the streaming video and deserves a huge thanks!
Not begin able to put down my impressions of the practice till Friday
evening I purposely did not read, listen to sports news so as not to
affect my own impressions. Be interesting to compare them later to
others.
Missed the morning practice...but the buzz was everywhere. Seems Ryan
Leaf let his emotions get the better of him with a heckler. Once I
understood the essence of the event it became a non factor insofar as
the Dolphins are concerned. The big news is that Dan [reportedly]
injured his hand to some degree in the morning session and did not dress
out for the afternoon practice. I asked around but was not able to
determine severity or instance.
As has been stated numerous times the practices are very organized.
Unlike the practices in Florida the weather was a balmy 69 degrees with a
nice ocean breeze. The sun was direct and hot however. Two fields laid
out next to each other with camera towers everywhere. The fans had a
nice bleacher section and also had access to move around the edges of
the field. I would estimate between 400-500 people were at the
practice. Hard to gauge however.
I spent most of the time watching the Offense play the Chargers defense.
This is a very good test as Dan did not play, no Martin, Huard with the
1st string. Though not a pleasant thought for what it would mean, fans
should relax in knowing the kid can play. He has touch when he throws.
Makes quick decisions.
Overall impressions:
Gogan is a very big man.
Huard has the respect of his team mates.
Jr. Seau is very intense.
Collins is for real.
Miami has several running backs that could be used to "move the pile" in
lieu of Collins or Abdul. Not every down backs, but big driving backs.
And they work at just that.
The Phins O line is very, very "together". They joke, cajole, push bet,
dare, insult, challenge and encourage each other as a group. They work
hard. Gogan is the leader.
Practice started out with individual drills. O line, receivers,
punters, et. On the far side of the field the special teams immediately
started to scrimmage each other. I was not impressed with the Dolphins
special teams play.
Running plays were first, almost all in the middle against the chargers.
A watered down middle drill. Backed up against the 10 yard line. Cecil
busted away three times. Once up the gut with a quick bounce to the
outside that left everyone in the dust. The O line looked good.
Short passes got added to the mix. The tight ends looked good with
Drayton hanging on to everything. H.Goodwin caught a few also. He
seemed to be favoring his leg at times. But was very physical. There
was no tackling and the hitting varied in intensity as time went on.
The scrimmage ended with a fight between the phins O and the Chargers D.
Was to far away for details at the time.
The backs looked good coming out of the backfield all day. Parmalee had
a good day also. One really nice 30 yard over the shoulder catch from
Huard that dropped right in the basket. Later Gonzales floated a 40
yarder on the same pattern that the safety had time to come over and
pick off. Gonzales put a LOT of balls in the dirt and had two picked
off that I saw.
As far as receivers Green had a good day, OJ was OJ, Yatil had a few
nice catches. When he is in on a play it is beautiful. He does not run
in the rotation that often. Lamar Thomas had one spectacular catch down
the left sideline and double tip-toed to keep an over the shoulder reach
45yd floater in bounds. There was a player wearing number 1 that was
catching everything. Do not know who he was. [Ed Note: He is Kio
Sanford - Just signed]. Smaller receiver. Fast, glue for hands.
Feisty. Baker also made a few nice catches. All of the receivers made
a few. There were a few drops also. Green, dropped a really nice deep
in. I missed the others in detail as I was trying to run a camera part
of the time.
The D was on the other field. The good news was that I only heard the
San Diego crowd roar about three times. Each time I saw a San Diego
player with the ball trotting towards the goal line. The Dolphins did
it a LOAD of times.
I watched the end of the Defense scrimmage. Zack was Zack. We had very
good pressure on the QB. They had a scrambler 3rd string QB named
Wheelahan (spelling ?) that gave us fits. To be understood however as
we were not compensating for his scrambling in any way. Ended up with a
two minute drill where the Chargers had 45 seconds and one time out from
1st and 10 on their 40 yard line to get in field goal range (the 30).
Our first string not only held their 1 string, but was credited with two
sacks (trace, taylor) but taylor also hit the ball from behind on a play
that almost resulted in an int. (The D had two ints that I saw in the
short while I watched them!, Brock and T-Buck). We stopped their 2 min
cold. Their 2nd string made it to the 30 on the last play, a 30yard
scramble by Wheelahan.
All in all a great showing. We're looking good. Go phins!
And now, we have a report from Dorian:
I was able to catch the last half of practice between the Miami offense
and the Charger defense. Overall, the receivers looked better than
yesterday. Yatil and Dan were both absent, presumably both sitting out
the second practice of the day. Here are the 7-on-7 drill re-caps:
7-on-7 drill (plays numbered sequentially)
Line of scrimmage set at the Dolphins 15 yd line:
- Huard connects down the sideline to No.1
- Huard passes to L. Thomas coming across the middle; it's a poor pass
into the ground
- Gonzales bullets one to H. Goodwin about 20 yds down the middle of
the field (a dangerous pass but performed almost to perfection)
- Gonzales hands off to B. Parmalee who sweeps right for 7-8 yds before
first contact
- Erickson badly overthrows (by about 15 yds) D. Steagall down the
right sideline
- Erickson, from the shotgun, throws incomplete to McDuffie who is
crossing the middle about 10 yds out; a poor pass well behind McDuffie
- Erickson rifles one to R. Baker but the ball bounces off his chest;
incomplete (but should have had it)
- Erickson badly overthrows W. Green on an up and out pattern
- Huard connects with No.1 [WR Kio Sanford] on a 5 yd crossing
pattern; No.1 got an additional 10+ yds before being contacted by a
defender
- Huard tries to connect with W. Green about 15 yds down field but the
pass is under thrown
- Huard passes incomplete to D. Steagall in the flat; the ball was a
little high but should have been caught
- C. Collins runs for 10 yds off of the left tackle
- Huard throws the ball into the ground 10 yds pass the line of
scrimmage; not sure who he was throwing too
- Huard pitches to Collins to the right; gain of 4 yds
- Juan Johnson gets about a yd on a sweep
- Scary Play! A deep ball is thrown to L. Thomas and the ball is
knocked away by No.30 of the Chargers defense. L. Thomas falls to the
ground clutching his arm. It did not look like there was any serious
contact on the play. Saw them wrap Lamar's shoulder on ice.
Fortunately, he did not leave the practice field suggesting that it
wasn't too serious (let's hope).
- missed the play watching them deal with Lamar
- Erickson rifles a pass to R. Baker in the flat
- Erickson throws well behind No. 1 who was on a cross pattern
- Huard connects on a short pass to Collins for 4 yds
- Huard, under pressure, dumps the ball to W. Green at the line of
scrimmage
- Huard connects with a beautiful pass to B. Parmalee deep down the
sideline
- Erickson wiffles a pass towards R. Baker and the pass is easily
intercepted
- Huard, under pressure, throws incomplete to D. Steagall on a
crossing pattern; the pass was well defended by the Charger DB
- Huard connects with McDuffie on a nice out patter; 15 - 20 yds
Ball is moved to the Dolphins goal line:
- poor pass by Erickson to Drayton; appeared to be miscommunication on
the play
- J. Johnson runs for a tough 4 yds up the middle
- Huard connects with Drayton on the right sideline
- J. Johnson runs for 4 yds off of the right tackle
Sides of the field are switched - a 45 second drill with no time outs:
- Erickson connects on an 8 yd pass to Avery who subsequently runs out
of bounds
- False start
- QB sack of Erickson
- (team in hurry-up offense) Erickson completes a nice 12 yd pass to R.
Baker
- (hurry-up offense continues) Erickson throws incomplete to R. Baker
- Erickson throws again to R. Baker; a scuffle between Erickson and No.
37 of the Chargers breaks out with one or two swings thrown
Fortunately, that was the last play of the practice and things didn't
get too ugly. Overall, Huard still looks much better than Erickson.
The receivers appeared to have more concentration today, although there
were still some balls dropped that should have been caught. From what I
hear the Fins are on there own tomorrow.
And last, but certainly not least, we have a report from Jason,
who provided us with the pictures:
Couple corrections about yesterday, when I mentioned Gadsen, I meant
Willie Green (he was bigger than I thought). And another thing,
yesterday I was just able to see the first half of the practice when
they ran the unit drills, just FYI. Okay, but today, I got to see the
whole thing and here we go.
What a blast, I would have no problem with the Dolphins relocating to
California, so that I could watch them play all the time, but it just
wouldn't be the same... San Diego Dolphins? No, probably not. Well
once again there was a ton of fans out there today, and once again the
Dolphins seemed to be outplaying the Chargers in most facets of the
game.
Unit of the day: Running Backs... Cecil and Jabar are ripping off runs
left and right, they were both breaking tackles and powering through the
middle. Konrad also had a good burst up the middle, the OL seemed to be
opening holes well. The recievers weren't doing too well, the backs
probably pulled more big catches out of the backfield. Dan Marino was
held out of practice (no reason) and Huard saw limited throws. OJ was
looking good, but Lamar Thomas was having the worst day, he was getting
seperation and had the opportunities, but he just couldn't pull them in.
About half way through practice he beat a man deep and had the ball
throw in his direction (by Gonzalez), but the ball was short, Lamar went
back for it, it was almost intercepted and Lamar took 5-6 steps
clutching his hand before dropping to the ground, he was later escorted
off the field. The practice was very uneventful, it seemed as though
the Dolphins were holding back their starters, Garner and Bowens didn't
participate heavily in drills.
Near the end of practice, the was a fight, didn't get a chance to see
who, though. I also heard that in the morning practice, one of the
dolphins players [Ed note: actually, he probably means Ryan Leaf] blew
up on some charger fans that were heckling (didn't get a name though).
I stayed to watch the Dolphins offense when the squads split and must
say that the goaline passing offense is bad. Lamar missed a couple and
the only reciever to pull in anything was OJ. I'm not sure who #1 was
but he seemed to have a decent day, I was told his name was Kio? and
whenever he made a catch, one guy and his family would go crazy (prob
knows him). Mare and #3 on the Chargers were having a kicking contest,
and although 3 was winning, Mare was kicking against the wind.
Play of the Day: Parmalee broke a swing pass down the right sideline for
what would have been a 50-60 yard score.
Players of the day: Parmalee, Gogan, and Dixon - I have nothing but love
for these guys, they were the only ones to wait and sign autographs,
meet people and shake hands. I was surprised when I meet Gogan, that it
was Gogan (didn't look as evil as I expected), and Dixon was giving
interviews to the local TV stations. Parmalee was the first one towards
the bus and the last one to get on, he must have stayed signing
autographs for about 5 minutes after all the players had gotten on the
bus. Great guy, pleasure to meet him.
With the way Jimmy went for the bus, he should be our running back, he
dipped and dodged, and made a nice run to the bus, thanks to a great
block from a security guard on a autograph seeker.
Anyways, I'm still trying to get to the game on saturday, but to all the
dolphins fans there, lets hear you!!!
By the way, I was able to snag the digital camera from work so I got a
couple pictures, like 30, I included some of the ones I thought were
best, but if you want them all, I can send them.
It's been a pleasure, Jason.
My Comments:
I want to especially commend the Van Man, Jason, Dorian and
Rick for going to the trouble of providing all this information for us.
They have been terrific.
As far as the team is concerned, I think it's fair to say that
things are falling into place pretty well. At running back, Collins is
certainly pushing KAJ and will probably move ahead of him by the time
of the Denver game. But KAJ is performing very well and it would be a
shame to see him go.
At receiver, Larry Shannon is shaky again and Willie Green
still hasn't shown us anything. Of course, Shannon is hurting, so
that may have something to do with his problems, but he's on the
borderline for actually making the team.
But the man of the hour is Robert Baker. According to one of
the coaches, Baker has been the second most impressive rookie in camp,
after Collins. It looks like Baker will make the team at this point
and if JJ keeps six WR's, that means that those 6 will be OJ McDuffie,
Tony Martin, Yatil Green, Lamar Thomas, Oronde Gadsden and ... probably
Robert Baker.
That means that Nate Jacquet, Willie Green and Larry Shannon
could end up on the street. That would be a surprise.
On defense, the biggest battle right now is for the last
cornerback spot. Jerry Wilson was the dime back last year, but he got
roasted late in the season a couple of times and JJ has been looking for
a replacement. Both Emmanuel McDaniel and Ray Hill are showing real
talent and Ray Hill has been praised several times by JJ after
practices. Hill also had a sack last week against the Saints on the
corner blitz and that was been Wilson's specialty last year.
Now, if Hill can only play special teams....
The upcoming game against the Chargers will allow the team to
look at lots of these players on the field. Remember that this game
tonight is for giving these individuals a chance to shine. If the
Dolphins don't win, it doesn't matter. What's important is how guys
like Cecil Collins, Ray Hill, and Robert Baker perform.
That's what this game is for.
