The Dolphins announced today that they have fired Defensive Coordinator Paul Pasqualoni:

I am pretty surprised about this, but I'm glad they did it.  This weekend's games showed once again how important an attacking defense is---one that forces the action instead of hanging back and trying to respond.  IMO, Pasqualoni's scheme is just too passive.  Let's get a guy in here who wants to force the action a little more---what's the worst that can happen, we give up a lot of big plays?  At least maybe we'll make a couple, too.
