The only reason DA was even playing was because the WR in front him was

That was a great game for DA yesterday, but it remains to be seen what kind
of
career he has. Remember this is a guy who is on his 5th team in 3 years, so
apparently he's had a hard time getting noticed. But sometimes it's all
about
opportunity, and he just made the most of one.
I was disappointed he didn't stick with Miami. We got see him play at
Auburn
for a couple of years. He clearly stood out on the field with his size and
speed, but was a little bit of a raw player. He never put up big numbers,
but
then again there were an awful lot of studs on those AU teams and only one
ball to share.
In 2004 Auburn had Aromashodu and future Seahawks Ben Obamanu and Courtney
Taylor at WR, along with Ronnie, Cadillac and Jason Campbell in the
backfield.
They would have had Brandon Jacobs too, but Jacobs transferred the previous
year because he couldn't get any playing time. Other NFL players on that
team
included Marcus McNeil, Pat Sims, Tim Duckworth, King Dunlap, Carlos Rogers,
Jay Ratliff, Will Herring, Quentin Groves, Ben Grubbs, Patrick Lee, David
and
Kenny Irons, Stanley McGlover, and many others. That team went undefeated
but
was ranked #3 and didn't get a shot at the BCS title, when USC pounded
Oklahoma. I sure would have loved to see how a USC-Auburn matchup would
have
turned out.
And to bring it back to the Dolphins, practice squad player Tristan Davis
was
also on that AU team.

I
was thinking that the Dolphins could really use a guy like that. They
drafted
him! I had forgotten all about that.
