DOLPHINS: Combine report

Dabo did use him better, but that's kind of like being the valedictorian at summer school. But if Dabo had not improved the use, and I was CJ, I would have beat his ass. I think CJ's comments about coming back if Dabo got the job really helped Dabo get it. (I think he still would have gotten it, but I think it helped Terry Don sell it to the purple and orange).
I too would love to see us get him. But come on, Mark. How many times would CJ limp off the field to only come right back on and go 50+ for TD? Sure...his OL held like hell for him, but he sure seemed to run with no limp:-)
Patrick, getting down verbally...

> > Here's a highlight video of him. I have to say, the sideline catch-juke-takeoff versus GT at about 4:25 is the play I will always remember of Spiller (Disclaimer: I black out all plays against the Gamecocks, b/c it's common knowledge that the results of those runs are always because Clemson cheated). But watch that clip. He catches, then jukes 2 Jackets while basically standing still, then just explodes down the sideline, pulling further and further away all the way to the goal line.
> > FWIW, Spiller never had a coach in college worth a damn. Seriously, Bowden nor Dabo properly used him. I remember watching the ACC title game this year in AC with two friends that are Clemson fans and we all just shook our head there at the end when Dabo pulled him from the game. Sorry, but unless Spiller was dead, he would have stayed in for me. A 50% CJ is still better than just about anyone else on the field.

There was a good report out this weekend where Gerhardt laughed that he always gets compared to white RBs like Riggins or Alstott (which is a complete joke--he is way more of a RB than Alstott), when he really always liked to think he patterned his style after Corey Dillon.
