DOLPHINS: Sunday Ticket

Saw this on a message board I frequent:

"For DirecTV, they'll never give up the exclusivity on Sunday Ticket
if they can help it as it is arguably their biggest marketing tool
(plus you have to pay extra for non-local games in HD).

The NFL actually isn't necessarily leaving money on the table though.
It is a poorly-kept secret that CBS and FOX would seriously consider
dropping their coverage or trying to cut back to 1-2 games apiece if
Sunday Ticket were on cable or maybe even DISH.

The affiliates (especially non-O&O stations) depend on local
advertising breaks and more Sunday Ticket viewers- which are never
counted towards local ratings- would likely KILL their ad revenue. CBS
and FOX need affiliates which are financially viable and help pay the
network bills."

I know we've talked about TV issues here before but I've never heard
the "CBS/FOX would only produce one game per timeslot" angle.
