Richie,
I don't think anyone is saying this was a wildly successful game. They  
played poorly in the second half because they
couldn't knock out a veteran team with a GREAT offense when they had  
the chance.

It happens. They'll watch film and the coaches will tell them (YELL)  
about all the mistakes they made in the second
half. Did they choke? YES. Do young teams do this? USUALLY - it's part  
of learning how to win. A big part (the #1
rule in fact, Is:

Come on,

you know what it is:

DON'T BEAT YOURSELF

It will get better.

Completely OT: My Iowa Hawkeyes DIDN'T Beat themselves last night  
(although they could have) they beat Michigan
State on the final play with a slant on fourth and goal at the MSU 7.  
MSU did help the cause with some very timely
penalties...
