DOLPHINS: 2 minute drill

I agree, Rick. While I was obviously disappointed watching the second half, I'm not that upset about this loss, simply because it was pretty clear that we just don't have the horses at this point. I was worried this game was gonna be a runaway, and I'm happy the emotional play in the first quarter helped keep us in it---had the ball at the end of the game with a chance to win. Given the current talent differential, that's not so bad. But until this team gets a legit #1 receiver, a S who is not inept, and a playmaking LB, staying close with great teams is the best we can hope for, along with stealing one now and then. In the meantime, I hope we beat the crap out of the Jets next week. And I think we're dangerous every week. But we're simply not a Super Bowl caliber team at this point...and that's okay. It would be asking too much to be. I was hoping to see continued development and improvement this year, and a chance for Henne to develop. So far, I'm more or less content with what I'm seeing along those fronts. Most of the remaining problems are personnel, and that's not changing until the off-season.
