DOLPHINS: SI links

Well, the key to the Wildcat was and always has been QB coach David Lee. He ran it with McFadden and Felix Jones at Arkansas and implemented it with the Dolphins. He's the one in danger, most likely to be hired away as an offensive coordinator by another team. It's ironic that he coaches a position that's not really involved in the Wildcat.
Again, I wouldn't be surprised if Henning retires when Parcells does and then Lee is promoted to OC. It's just not clear whether Lee will still be around by then.
But on the other angle, many other teams have tried the Wildcat. They just don't have the personnel or the commitment to make it work, so there's been no need to poach the Dolphins' coaches.

I'm amazed that the rest of the league hasn't gone for this. It works.
I said this in a earlier post: I expect people to start picking off
coaching staff from the Dolphins in order
to gain insight. It's a formation that works. The Dolphins are
committed to it. Will it take a Super Bowl victory to get the rest of
the league to come along?
