DOLPHINS: Jaws refuses to believe what his lying eyes showed him Monday

Shocker: Ron Jaworski still thinks the Wildcat is a gimmick. According to PFT, Jaws was on ESPN Radio this morning and said Jaworski said that while the Dolphins run well out of the Wildcat it is still "a gimmick and a gadget" that won't ever help a team win a championship.

Now, Jaws is a QB and hates anything that takes the game out of the QBs hands. But lets thinks about how stupid his expert analysis is on this. First, the Miami Dolphins just beat their division rival and an early season favorite to win the AFC East thanks to this "gimmick." That means, the gimmick helped them get a head-to-head advantage in what could wind up being their race for a playoff spot. Further, there is no question that Miami, the best rushing team in the league, runs the ball better out of this gimmick than out of standard formations. So if Jaws doesn't think something that actually helps you beat division opponenets and helps you have sustained time-consuming drives can help you win a championship, then it is painfully obvious why Jaws does not have a Super Bowl ring.

Second, why has Jaws never called out New Englands spread formation as a gimmick? Maybe if that perfect regular season Pats team could have ran the ball better and been a real smash-mouth team, instead of a run-and-shoot, pass-first offense, maybe they would not have lost to the Giants.

Is it just me, or is anyone else starting to get a really good "Nobody believes in us" feeling about this team?

Patrick, getting down verbally...
