DOLPHINS: Henne vs. Sanchez

I think the defense needs at least one awesome player, either at the LB level or at Safety. Two would be ideal, but they can make do with one, I think, as long as they also get a better player (not necessarily a star, but an above-average NFL player) at the other position. And on offense, it's that #1 receiver, of course. I agree with Rick that a play-making TE would also be good---I'm wondering if it's getting more likely that we'll actually re-sign David Martin. Bottom line, though, is I said at the beginning of the year that it wasn't losing that was bothering me so much as that it didn't look like we were making progress. It does now----we are building a personality and, while Henne is going to have rough spots this year, he looks like he can be the "type" of QB that can run this offense. I feel a lot better about where we are long-term now than I did a couple weeks ago. I don't think we make the playoffs this year, to be honest---these next three games are particularly brutal. But I think we can set ourselves up to be in a really good spot going into 2010, hopefully do a better job in the FA market, and find a playmaker in the first round of the draft. And, we keep hope alive for this year for now, which is also fun. Good day to be a Dolphins fan.
