DOLPHINS: Trivia Time

You are essentially correct.
Actually, I have to correct myself. It was the WFL, not the USFL. In
addition, Csonk's most serious injury (other than his early-carreer
concussions) was when the WFL folded and he joined the Giants. Tore
knee ligaments
The next year, Csonka re-joined the Dolphins on a one-year contract
and rushed for over 800 yards and scored a bunch of touchdowns.
Ironically, he and the team couldn't reach an agreement on a new
contract and he retired the following year.
There are many good backs in the NFL, but they just don't make Larry
Csonkas anymore.
