DOLPHINS: Wildpat!

Well, wouldn't that be like running a gasser then coming back to take snaps?
I just wish they'd involve White like they did Penny. He seems a more legitimate runner, receiver and passer than the Ronnie/Penny combo. THAT's the Wildpat I wanna see.

What I don't understand with using a traditional QB (Henne, Penny) in the Wildcat is that they merely stand at the line and try to throw a weak block. Why don't they take off running down the field? Even if they never have a pass thrown to them, a defender (or two?) would have to follow them just to be sure. Isn't that easier and more productive than having them block?

One thing I do notice is that Henne is worse in the Wildcat than Pennington was. His lateral quickness isn't as good IMO

That's the biggest but he had a 10 yard run vs the Jets the first game.
I have been in White's corner. I still think he will grow into the player he was at West Virginia eventually. I hope he plays more and more. Then we will have the Wildcat, the option with him in there and the conventional offense.
