  Jackson was a senior when he did that. He got drafted by Tampa Bay No 1 overall and chose to play baseball. When a player doesn't sign w/ the original team that drafted him prior to the "next" draft, his rights go back into the pool (at least that's how it was back then, don't know about now). I recall him telling the NFL not to pick him in the second draft he was involved him but the Raiders took him anyway and convinced him to be a part-season player. Rolle on the other hand is a junior so he still  has to 'declare' for the draft to be entered into the pool of draftable players. He will be a senior in 2010.

    Isn't he eligible for the draft either way? Kind of like when Bo Jackson was drafted by the Raiders?

        Rolle has decided to accept his scholarship and will be going to england for a year instead of entering the 09 draft. My question is would it be worth it to draft him in the 3rd or 4th round sign him to a higher then slotted contract? For that matter could we even do that?
