Bobby Moore changed his name to Ahmad Rashad in 1972, his first year in the league, while with the St Louis Cardinals. They drafted him 4th overall. He was there for 2 years. Buffalo for 2 and part of a third year that was divided between there, Seattle and Minnesota. He was with the Vikings from 76 to thru 82 and by far his best seasons where in Minnesota.

yeah - At one point I knew he played for the Vikings and I kept
looking in old footage for a guy with Rashad on his jersey until I
found out he didn't change his name until either his last season or
after he left Minnesota - IIRC He went to the Cardinals and one other
team. Amazing how he became, at one point, the interview face of the
NBA and everyone's "main man"

heh - yes. Only way Unitas would have played in 79 were on some hacked
version of John Madden football game.
BTW - a 6 degrees moment I thought of yesterday when Damione Lewis
sacked Kurt Warner - Lewis and Edge were both on the same Miami
Hurricane team that beat Tori Holt's NC State team in the 1998 Micron
PC Bowl (had to look it up, thought it was the 99 Gator Bowl) Both
Lewis and Holt and Warner were on the 2001 St Louis Rams Super Bowl
team that lost to the Pats. Now Edge and Warner are taking St Louis'
old team to the NFC title game.
Can you imagine one QB taking one city's new team and old team to the
Super Bowl? Has one QB taken more than one team to a Super Bowl win?
Morton had a win and a loss with Dallas and Denver - that's all I can
remember. As for championship games with more than 2 teams, I know
Montana, Doug Williams, and even Kerry Collins did that.
fascinating, eh?
