DOLPHINS: Ginn

Yeah, I finally saw the NFL Gameday highlight package. You are right that the play really didn't end up being a pitch...Pennington did get the ball to Ginn's hands, and closer to him than I had remembered. But while Lewis may not have touched Chad until the handoff, he immediately forced Chad further to the side than the play was designed for him to go. Because of that penetration, the timing and spacing of the play were way off. Ginn definitely could have made a play on it. But the immediate penetration really blew the play up by forcing Chad to rush and move to the side (his right). Like the rest of the game, I think the real root of the problem on that play was the interior line.> Date: Tue, 6 Jan 2009 02:54:53 -0500> From: ldouglas at gmail.com> To: dolphins-disc at phins.com> Subject: Re: DOLPHINS: Ginn> > Here is the actual Windows Media file if the online version is too grainy> http://tr.im/303n> > On 1/6/09, Lionel Douglas <ldouglas at math.miami.edu> wrote:> > Here - I uploaded the super slo-mo replay from NFL Gameday> >> > http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=281zv5i&s=5> >> > the first angle shows how Ricky got Lewis on the block - and the> > penetration - and the fact that he wasn't that close to Pennington until> > the actual handoff> >> > the second angle shows the handoff close up - that it wasn't a pitch and> > that Lewis didn't actually touch Pennington until after he'd delivered the> > ball.> >> > you have to kind of composite the thing and put it together.> >> > On Tue, 6 Jan 2009, J.
