DOLPHINS: 500

To come back to DW, his record didn't really hurt the team's overall winning
percentage very much, going from .645 to .636. And until the team collapsed
during his last season his record was quite good; prior to 2004, DW was 41-23
for a .641 W%.
Here's a comparison of recent years.
DW: 42-32 .575
Post-DW: 30-41 .423
JJ: 36-28 .563
Shula last 5 yrs: 47-33 .588
It's really since DW left that the % has taken a drastic dive. And no, I'm
not presenting that as cause/effect. :-)
Obviously an argument could be made that his legacy affected future teams, but
1) the same could be said of any coach and 2) he did have some help with bad
personnel moves.
