DOLPHINS: Super Bowl thoughts

Oh, I completely agree on the holding call in the end zone. Definitely a good call. I just meant it was one that went against Pitt. As a casual observer (I had less of a rooting interest in this game than I can ever remember having in a SB--I basically like both teams exactly the same amount, hehe), I didn't really feel like one team was getting screwed. Great game....completely kept my interest even though I didn't much care who won.Date: Mon, 2 Feb 2009 04:08:40 +0000From: dolphin9731 at comcast.netTo: dolphins-disc at phins.comSubject: Re: DOLPHINS: Super Bowl thoughtsThe offensive holding call in their own end zone was as blatantly obvious as holding can ever be. There was no way they can't call that. The calls seemed to go both ways to me too. The roughing the passer penalty on Dansby seemed a little ticky tack IMO. The Seattle/Pittsburgh Super Bowl, now that was an example of some bad officiating IMO too----- Original Message -----From: Kristoffer Shields To: dolphins-disc at phins.comSent: Mon, 2 Feb 2009 03:23:46 +0000 (UTC)Subject: Re: DOLPHINS: Super Bowl thoughtsI don't know that I agree with that.... Pitt had a TD overruled, got called for holding in the end zone for a safety on a huge play, and got called for holding on the game winning drive, setting up a 2nd and 20 deep in their own end. The key is that they overcame them....There were some big calls against the Cards, but I didn't see any I particularly disagreed with, except for the roughing the passer. Definitely nothing particularly egregious, unless I'm forgetting something? The Cards played a really good game, and I feel bad for them---it would've been nice to see that franchise have its moment. But I don't think I'd point to reffing in this game----certainly nothing like the Seattle/Pittsburgh SB.Date: Sun, 1 Feb 2009 19:15:01 -0800From: richiewohlers at gmail.comTo: dolphins-disc at phins.comSubject: Re: DOLPHINS: Super Bowl thoughtsI assume you didn't see the Pittsburgh - Seattle Super Bowl. But it sure looked like every close call tonight went to Pittsburgh. On Sun, Feb 1, 2009 at 7:11 PM, Danny Nelson <cheesefrog at usa.net> wrote:I have to say though, that I've never seen a game so obviously biased by therefs._______________________________________________Dolphins-disc mailing listDolphins-disc at phins.comhttps://www.phins.com/mailman/listinfo/dolphins-discWindows Live™: E-mail.
