DOLPHINS: looking ahead to 2010 FAs

I think Boldin is under cotract for a couple more years (2011).

Some things to keep in mind. If there is a CBA then it is going to be FA as
usual. However, if there is no CBA the rules change big time and a lot of
the guys that we think are going to be available are not. For example, if
there is no CBA a player must have 6 years of service to become a FA (5
years of service in 2011). Each team would get three tags. Teams that make
the playoff will have spending restrictions.

No CBA means all there are going to be very few linebackers available. The
only two that I can think of are Karlos Dansby and Keith Bulluck (not sure
he fits our system). There are no WR other than A Bryant. On the flip side
we are going to need a NT to take some reps from Soliai and the following
guys are going to be available barring resignings and tags.

Vince Wilfork, New England Patriots (28)
Richard Seymour, Oakland Raiders (30)
Aubrayo Franklin, San Francisco 49ers (30)
Casey Hampton, Pittsburgh Steelers (32)
Ryan Pickett, Green Bay Packers (30)
