Those two things may not be mutually exclusive either.  Look at what Vince Young has done with the Titans this year.

Of course, Young has already managed to pull a hammy and ding a knee since he's been back so it may also say something about the durability of that style of QB play.

I think if a team wants to commit to that kind of offense they need to stock up on 3 QBs that all have that same style.  In the Titans case, if they're going to stick to Vince Young show they should probably since Mike Vick and draft Tim Tebow so that if Young gets hurt or just really banged up they can substitute someone similiar.  When Kerry Collins comes in it's not the same offense.
