DOLPHINS: Henne

At the beginning of the year I was convinced that Henne should get in by now.
But after watching Pennington lead this team and he looks like he is in better shape than I can remember him ever being, I think we are making the right move to let Henne sit and learn.
Very impressive year for Pennington so far

I used to think the best plan was to let a rookie QB be backup for awhile before becoming a starter.

But now I'm convinced that it just depends.? It depends on the coaching.? It depends on the team.? It depends on the player.? Some kids might start as a rookie and get sacked like crazy and never be able to develop (like David Carr).? Maybe Carr never would have been good, but getting sacked nonstop for 4 years surely didn't help his development.

I know there are two school of thought about when to start a rookie/young QB and that Penningotn is playing well. I'm of the opinion that the sooner you start playing the sooner you are going to figure it out. I also believe that as well as Pennington is playing he has limitations that will only allow him to take the so far.
