That's why I put "or try to score" in parenthesis.
Besides, I was responding to your Giants game reference. Like I said, the
way they were running, there was no reason for them to hand the game to
their kicker.
Not that there was a risk with the kicker, but there was no reason to think
the offense couldn't finish it themselves.
As far as I'm concerned, a FG try should only be used as a last ditch effort
after the offense has failed to convert or score (i.e. 4th down in FG
range). Again, I'm not talking about situations when time has all but run
out.
