My understanding is that the suspensions were not overturned,
but rather suspended, as the judge requested more time to consider
    the case.

What I heard is that Starcaps changed the formulation, and
did not bother to notify the NFL of the change.

So, it once was okay. Now it is not.

What my take is, is the NFL needs to be more proactive with
what the players may and may not take if they are going to be
talking suspensions that mean 1/4 of the season.

It is a fact of life that the professional players are going
to look for every edge they can find. So, either the NFL make
it a point to ban EVERYTHING, or the have to routinely test
EVERYTHING every 4 - 6 months, and tell the players what is
and what is not allowable. For the NFL to smack the players
down later, and claim "too bad - you should have have taken
that substance" is silly buggers at its worst.

Either accept that if the FDA allows its sale, it is fine,
or it isn't. But then, what do you expect from a outfit that
is too cheap to have professional referees?
