All the talk about the Dolphins carrying four quarterbacks was rendered moot
Friday afternoon when they traded veteran quarterback Josh McCown to the
Carolina Panthers for an undisclosed future draft pick.

McCown only played in the first preseason game against the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers and was 5-of-8 for 35 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.

"I'm excited for the opportunity,'' said McCown via cell phone.
