Wasn't Murphy a 4th round draft pick?
It's kind of hard for me to think of someone out of that round, as a bust. I would guess more than half of the 4th rounders don't end up making the team that drafted them.

I think part of the Murphy bust talk started after he didnt see the field on Saturday. However, I think he didnt play due to an injury which noone knew about. Murphy also missed practice today. Personally, I believe Murphy to be a project player. If he does not make the 53 man roster he will be on the practice squad

Omar Kelly alluded to Shaun Murphy being a bust, I guess you can't win em all. I am not so sure of that but he has been awful quiet. I recall reading in the Herald prior to the draft that one nfl personel expert felt if we took Jake Long that we would have an upper echelon offensive line.

Those two young guys [Long and Thomas], they are as conscientious as it gets as far as getting the job done the right way, and at the same time they're tough, they're physically tough. What I'm starting to see is them playing a little bit more like a younger veteran player than like a rookie. One of the things we've done with both of them is we threw them right
