In his past 40 starts (over the past four seasons), he threw 108 passes of 20 or more yards, completing 39. That's a completion percentage of 36.1 percent. But with only 4 INTS and 13 TDs, that's a QB rating of 107.7.

Take Chad Pennington's completion percentage with a grain of salt. The main
reason it's so high is that he is rarely asked to throw long passes. That
said, he's certainly an improvement over their other QBs, and it's good
that, for a change, the Dolphins didn't have to give up a draft pick. So
there's little downside even if Pennington flops.
