Think about this for a minute guys. Who's in the driver's seat. The Dolphins interviewed Fisher. Did Fisher call them for a job or vice versa. How many times in you life has a prospective employer called you to ask if I pay you big bucks will you come and work for us? None right! So, Fisher is calling the shots. He's the big fish. The Dolphins are in dire need of a big named coach.

I pick the Steelers. The Broncos don't have the same level of quality talent on the field. Tebow can't play all the positions needed to "will" a victory. I predict Steelers by 11. Steelers 28 Broncos 17.

Yeah-- Ross brought Fisher to the stadium in his executive helicopter. Maybe some news this week on the new coach.

Zach Thomas and Jason Thomas are forever linked to the Dolphins. Both are good men. IMO both brought tenacity and greatness to the Dolphins' defense that was respected throughout the league. It was sad to see Thomas leave and finally retire and now Taylor's retirement. Both are worthy of HOF status, retirement of their jersey numbers (54/99) and their names on the ring of the stadium. It's not uncommon for businessmen who do large investments to employ agents, to work for them on a commission basis to scout out business prospects. Since Peterson is a good friend of Ross' perhaps this is what happened. Consider it on a larger scale with a country sending a ambassador to another country. That ambassador represents the sending country who may or may not have authority to make de

Pretty uninspiring play so far. Dolphins look flat. Jets are no in sync and playing poorly too. With some players out, depth or lack of it is showing IMO. Where's is Clay? What about Clyde Gates--wouldn't this be a good time to throw something to a guy who can burn away if he catches one. I hope to see more creative offense in the 2nd half. Go Fins!

Miami Reppa--You are reading too much into my two prior posts. I'm not concerned about RGIII's mobility, but his size. He appears to be small-framed despite the claim that he weighs in at 220. Further, I'm not comparing a stand in the pocket QB to one that has mobility. I personally prefer a QB that can avoid the rush, scramble until someone is open, or if not, dash for a few positive yards.

I haven't seen enough of him to be overly critical, but I do share concern about his durability. He's not a big framed guy, and sure doesn't look to be 220. He appears smaller than 220. TV is deceptive though.

I finally got to watch RG3. He certainly is athletic and excellent on the move. However, I am not convinced that his skills will make him an elite franchise QB in the NFL. Some team in dire need of a QB will pick him up early--he will be gone before any Fins pick, IMO. I wish him the best, as he's a sharp young player and exciting to watch. Defenses in the NFL are faster and better than what

Last night on MNF, Drew Brees eclipsed the single season passing record set by Dan Marino in 1984. Records are made to be broken and this one took a heck of a long time to do it. Congrats to Dan for his 1984 feat and to Drew Brees for his record breaking accomplishment.

Disrespecting authority like that warrants a fine and suspension. That type of behavior can't be condoned.

Daniel Thomas--he shows potential for sure, but I too am wondering about his durability. He seems to be "fragile" or at least prone to injury. Watching the defense for the first two quarters of the game was inspiring, and I wondered if they could maintain that level of aggressiveness in the 2nd half. They answered it completely with a resounding "no." I stated in another t

They didn't fold--they tired and had little left after all the pressure in the first 2 quarters. They were relentless. It shows that depth at various positions is an issue.

No--Nolan did not gag. The D-players ran out of steam--2 quarters of constant pressure was all they had in them.

Peyton is a question mark. How is the recovery effecting him mentally? Will he have full motion with his head and upper body? Is he concerned over being slammed to the ground and permanently injured? All these things and more must be going through his mind. He's probably wondering, if this is it for him. I hope not. He's been fun to watch, has a great sense of humor too. Not sure if I want t

No need to panic. One thing at a time. There's unknown opportunities out there. We'll secure a good HC and then acquire a QB to compete with Moore and others. I'll bet by the week following the SB, we will have a new HC. See how easy it is to be optimistic. Think positively. The new HC will surely weigh the pros and cons of what's already in place. A total reconstruction of things is us

Berkeley223-- How can I say what I stated? Well the issue may be moot. But good things can happen from disarray. The operative word is "eventual." If the kid is as good as he appears to be, and of course if he elects to be in the NFL draft this coming spring, and the Dolphins have a shot at him, the opportunity to make a success playing in Miami is there. We are so in need of a to

The Patriots, IMO, are not very well liked around the league. They've had it too good, for way too long. Because of that I surmise that the Fins will really battle them to the finish--to send them a stern message. If NE wins the game--they will surely be licking their wounds going into the final week of play. I'm looking forward to a hard hitting, exciting game.

Rex Ryan is still talking but running out of positive things to say about his team. Although he's toned it down, he should be saying: "Playoffs?" a la Jim Mora, as the Jets are really struggling. How will the Jets fan tolerate more losses? Will they get on Ryan's back--or just tell him off?

I agree with ChyrenB. Peyton may still have a few good years left if he's able to return from his neck injuries, but to bet the farm on him under the circumstances is not prudent because it jeopardizes the Club's future. We need a youthful QB with 10+ years of prime time play in him. Peyton is one of the greats. A HOFamer for sure. This is not the time for him to become a Dolphin or Raide
