If you look at a replay of the last play in the Packer game, it appears to me that it WOULD HAVE BEEN ARGUABLY an incomplete pass HAD AARON RODGERS NOT KICKED THE BALL IN THE AIR WITH HIS FOOT. when he did that, that mooted any replay because after leaving his hand, the ball NEVER had a chance to hit the ground. Wow! What was he trying to accomplish? Kicking the ball so that it could ha

16623. Re: JETS
I'd trade for the spot the Jets are in. I wanted us to lose that last game because Houston's win eliminated us ANYWAY and it was better to get the higher draft choices that would have come to us. However, when balancing draft choices against being in the playoffs, its a no brainer because draft choices can be screwed up. Just look at Pat White.

What I found inexplicable was that toward the end of the first half with 2 minutes and some change to go trailing 24-7, with 4th and oh, about 8 on the Raven's 35, Belicheat's choices were to 1) attempt the field goal, 2) try for the first down or 3) punt. Now if you punt, you have to have 3 straight stops calling timeouts after each one (runs only of course) and then hope to get the ball back

I had not read this thread until tonight. What is up? They said Colt was BEGGING to be put back in the game. In the end, he said something to the effect of "If I were a safety, I could go in and just hit someone but I'm a passer and I guess I am of no use without my arm." This kid was hurting inside more than anyone else. And if anyone knows ANYTHING ABOUT playing football in

PhinFans2, Don't you think that Thigpen ran the passing game a lot more smoothly than it has been run many quarterbacks before Dante Culpepper? Couldn't you just SEE it?

I think Pat's main problem is that he is far too small. Someone pointed out something about Doug Flutie. Doug Flutie looked like a short NFL quarterback who could stand being hit and could, even given the right angle, shake off a tackler. When I see Pat White, I see a small, skinny guy who could be knocked down by a good gust of wind. Why we thought he could run the Wildcat IN THE NFL is an

There has historically been stereotyping of the QB position as not being available for Blacks. Whether that is happening nowadays or in this particular instance is doubtable. However, I am disturbed about the absolute savaging that people are giving the Reppa for even mentioning it. I remember when James Harris was the sole, one and only, and he was right here in Los Angeles. Slowly

Okay, boys. My job is to slowly prepare you for the eventuality. Despite what you say, Berk, with respect to your QBs, RBs, and blue chip WRS, you don't pass on them if they fall to you high in the draft. Now if your argument is that there is no clear Ricky Williams in this draft, then that's another point. If, however, Heisman winner Ricky Williams were coming out this year and fell to us a

nfl.com has us ranked (click on Standings by league) 10th from the bottom with Jacksonville 11th from the bottom and Chicago 12th from the bottom. I don't understand that because we beat Jacksonville and as such since we are both under Chicago, we should be higher than them.

Either way the Jets pick after us. That's all that matters now. I've completely redirected my focus to the draft.

There is a philosophy that you use very high draft picks on the best blue chip player in ANY AREA OF NEED not just the most urgent

And then screw up those picks? I would rather us use a first 10 or 11th pick and screw that up (which is much harder to do because the guys who are rated to go in the top ten usually do not fall on their face (usually)) rather than stockpile later picks which we will screw up picking guys who are not even marginal.

And now root for all the former contestants to win such as Baltimore to beat Oakland, so we can get higher draft choices.

Who is the guy on our board who talks about his ticket price and demands to see his team go all out? I'm kind of close to him on this one. Tomorrow, my team is playing and has a CHANCE (perhaps a million to one) to go to the playoffs and take it all. I cannot see myself rooting for a loss. Moreover, although slim chances at the playoffs can cost you a better draft choice as we Dolph

I think to a certain extent, you can say that any position comes a dime a dozen with the possible exception of quarterback. But my theory concentrates on our situation wherein we are (as all teams are but us more than most) much more effective when the opposition not only has to worry about Henne's passing but a strong run game. Also my post is premised on the fact that I thought Jahvid Best w

Well, now, your point of view is one with which one cannot argue because it does not address the questions discussed above but approaches it from a completely different standpoint.
