Did anybody else notice that on traditional running plays, the North either passed or ran wide?
They simply did not run between the tackles when Cody was in.

As someone pointed out, the "Fridge" looked like a bowl of jelly also. Yes, I saw A & O's link that showed a picture.

Let's see, 30 years ago were the 80's. The era of Dan Fouts, Dan Marino, etc. 30 plus passes a gam

Okay A & O, let me use Montequi's question as a starting point. If we had Jim Brown today, we would control the clock and win the games just like we did when we had Jim Kiick and Larry Csonka and Mercury Morris.
A & O, do you know what the most common sportcaster comment was about our losses to Indianapolish and New Orleans (who by the way are the two Super Bowl teams)???
I'll tell

I think we DO NEED a mountain at Nose Tackle to stuff the middle and make it easier on the linebackers to make the tackles both after and before the line of scrimmage.

Yeah, PhinFans 2 but could you really put Manny Ramirez or A-Rod in the same category with Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle or Mays? You could also say the same thing, that neither of the four I mentioned were in the last two decades.

Odenn, I do not consider our running back corps a strength. As I have often pointed out, Ricky is old and Ronnie was out for his second season with an injury. The backups are all gumbys.
I'll bet next year, if we have no running game at all and get pounded like a gun, some expert will say (and most of the people on this board will agree) "Hey, Helloooooo, what part of what happened last

RESPONSE: With Ricky showing his age and Ronnie injury prone, I would hardly call it a luxury. Jimmy Johnson (although he was wrong) tried to prepare (too e

First, Sanchez WILL BE one of the great NFL quarterbacks. In that first half, he was moving his team better than Peyton. He was making me grind my teeth thinking that he would actually beat the Colts.
Moreover, although the Jets have a great running game, it certainly was not on display in the AFC Championship game.
To you, Aqua & Orange, when I said that Best is Best, I was assuming

Oh, by the way, I forgot to address the argument that the four teams in the championship series had no real great running back and they made it there.
How did they make it there??????? Could it be that they had arguably ALSO the FOUR BEST QUARTERBACKS IN THE LEAGUE???? Favre, Manning, Brees, and Sanchez?

On first blush it seems idiotic to draft a running back.
But on closer inspection, it is the right choice.
First, let me not fight TWO battles. Those who think that there is a better running back than Best or that Best simply is not that good are arguing a different point right now. This post is mainly directed toward not so much Best himself but drafting a great running back if he is ava

I don't think its so much to motivate him as it is political dancing around the fact that at the beginning of the season Pennington was the starting quarterback and he only lost the job through injury.
It is not a good message to send to your players that injury can cause you to lose your job. It tends to make players try to play carefully to avoid injury and you don't want that.

You can blame the idiot who, on Adrian Petersen's second fumble, had a clear recovery and tried to pick up the ball and run with it.
How many times from pee wee to the pros do they tell you when there is a fumble JUST FALL ON THE DAMN BALL!
