Van Ginkel and Wilkins were my favorite players to watch. Durable and good football players. Agree with what was said about Grier. Why waste a 1st on a DT if you have no intention of retaining him. They told him 17.5 was too high last year because he didn't have the sack numbers. Well, he bet on himself and won. Good for Wilkins. You only have so many opportunities to hit it big in the N

In other news it's being reported the phins won't tag Wilkins and let him test the market. Grier, with all his trades and contract extensions, is rebuilding the rebuild letting Wilkins and Hunt walk. When he finally hits on a pick he seems to find a way to screw it up. I really dislike Grier.

Hopefully the resign Wilkins, Williams, and Hunt before the draft. If so I'd still take that C out of Oregon at 21 if he's still available. Move Williams back to LG. That what I want. What I expect is Grier to take a WR or DB at 21 and neglect the Oline once again.

That's not what I said but his track record speaks for itself. He was supposed to be the architect of the rebuild. He has done a piss poor job with the oline and until that's corrected, we're going to be having this same discussion next offseason after we get bounced early. Grier had full control. 5 years in we can't beat a good team, the oline gets manhandled, and we're 40mm over the cap.

Grier never took building an oline seriously. He always tried to get by with late round picks, cheap FAs or injury prone FAs. He's had 5 years and failed to build a good oline. He can't draft them worth a shit and the one he finally hits on...Hunt? He's willing to let him walk. Sorry, every gm hits on some picks but Grier is definitely more miss than hit. His signature hire, Flores, wan

Agree with what's being said about Tua. Good kid, good game manager, just can't get it done against good competition. McD needs to stop calling plays like he's playing Madden. That said, this is the result of a rebuild that started in 2019. 5 years of what was supposed to be an annual SB contender and we haven't even won a playoff game. That's the fault of the architect...Chris Grier.

What a let down but, as a long suffering phins fan, expected. I defended them against the narrative but they were right. We were 1-5 against teams with winning records and a -91 point differential. We're a finesse/timing oriented offense that fails to produce against good team. Dropping 70 on denver is neat but they ain't in the playoffs. I like Tua but I think he's hit his ceiling. B

when we lost 3 starters in the first 5 plays I knew we weren't allowed to have nice things. They better learn quickly from this debacle because the jets are going to destroy this makeshift line. Eich is a waste. They should have kept a true backup C. Williams is going to miss some time and they've used 7 of their 8 IR returns. With Baker now on IR they can't put Williams there too and ri

Great play on both sides of the ball. This team is clicking at the right time. 4 out of our last 5 at home. With Pitt and Cleveland losing the Bengals can get right back into the thick of things with a win in Jax tonight. If so we're sitting in the #1 seed heading into a home game vs Tennessee.

You're exactly right. The narrative on Tua is he only throws short passes and the talent around him does the rest. People hear that over and over and start believing it. It it were that simple Bridgewater and Thompson would have flourished last year.

So if you don't think he has "it" what/who is the solution? What current QBs, besides Mahomes, do you think have "it"? Tua is perfect for this system. I think dropping 70 on Denver causes people to panic when we win ugly. We lose that Raiders game last year. We overcame 2 fumbles deep in our end and held on to win a close game. You need to learn how to win ugly t

I thought that was the best our front 7 has played all year. They went toe to toe with the best oline in football. Phillips abused Lane Johnson and Johnson held multiple times. Playing with 3/5s of your oline out against that defensive front is a recipe for disaster. Glad Tua didn't get killed last night. In the grand scheme of things, that game meant nothing. Once we get healthy we'l

That was a great road win. The scheme is new on D and will take a little time. Fangio called some timely blitzes to end the game. After the pounding our D took, that was nice to see. Tua outplayed Herbert all game long, but more importantly, when the game was on the line. He drove for the go ahead TD with some clutch 3rd and long conversions. Herbert grounded the ball, got sacked, dump of

Agree 110% with what Hooligan said. We were going to do things the right way and 4 years in we're still .500 That's on Chris Grier. One thing not mentioned among the whiffs was his signature hire, Brian Flores. We have the same oline issue we had when the rebuild started. I really think it's time to show Grier the door and after the draft I'd fire the entire scouting department

Grier has been with this team for 23 years. We've been mediocre that entire time. Not all his fault but he took full control when Gase was fired. We were going to do things the right way and his first major hire was Flores. Again, he did a great job accumulating picks and clearing the cap in 2019. What he did with that is a different story. Doing it the right way meant building through

4 years into the rebuild and we still have the same questions. Grier was given the keys and did a good job in 2019 accumulating picks and clearing out cap space. HE hired Flores to coach the team. He's totally whiffed on his high oline picks aside from Hunt. 2020's 3 1st rounders should be building blocks. Tua is good...when he's available, Jackson is a bust, and Iggy, with a depleted seco

We do need someone who can disrupt the pocket when rushing 4. Ingram was doing that then, inexplicably, boyer cut his snaps. I was skeptical with the "keep the d intact" approach this past offseason. Couldn't care less what picks we give up. Grier can't draft to save his life.

I watched the game again and we were not lined up in the neutral zone. This must have been a point of emphasis for this crew but X and Wilkins were nowhere near the blue line on TV. I'm getting tired of flag happy refs trying to be relevant.

Right there with you, 808. It was easier in the past when we got rid of Philbin and Gase. They were bad coaches going in the wrong direction. This time is different because no one saw this one coming. I still contend they fired the wrong guy. Grier should be the one unemployed.

If our recent past is any indication we'll be having this same discussion in 3 years and Grier will still be here interviewing the next victim.

What Ross did was wrong but not racist. And the "sham" interview Flores is referring to was after the Giants had already interviewed 2 minorities so it wasn't necessary to satisfy the rooney rule. Maybe they wanted a 2nd interview before they made their decision. This franchise is a clown show and will be until Ross sells.

Buzz is stirring in the twittersphere that Harbaugh is the guy and he's going to get Fangio for the D and Pep Hamilton to coach the O. He would be the only one that makes sense after firing Flores.

Huge news? Continuity? Then they wouldn't have fired Flores and instead, fired Grier. This is just the ineptitude we've come to expect. Let's hamstring our search forcing coaches on the new HC. That will narrow the field down to a guy that is desperate for the job and someone Grier can control. Welcome back, Vance Joseph.

I wouldn't waste a first on a QB this year when we have Tua and 2 2023 1st which has a much better QB class including Bryce Young and CJ Stroud.

I've seen this movie before. Fire coach, commence smear campaign shortly there after. Grier keeps his job. Sorry, but if these rumors were true we would have heard something from a disgruntled former player.

sorry but not one leak in 3 years about all this disfunction? This is yet another hit job by the yes man Grier. I hope Flores goes to the bears and succeeds. Wherever he goes will be my 2nd team. I'd love it if he trades for Tua wherever he ends up. Ross is a clown. Grier is a corporate suck up. This team is a rudderless ship. I'll always be a phin fan at heart but these boobs mak
