I'm told that NFL QB hit/bust models have Dalton, Devlin and McElroy as possible franchise caliber QB's. These guys could be bargains to be had in the later rounds. Picking at #15 in the 1st would make this an alternative that might pay off. For what it's worth, the models have McElroy potentially being the next Tom Brady.

Newton is a spread "system" QB. He'll be a project QB in the NFL. In other words, he'll have no immediate impact.
