I agree. It seems Tannehill is good enough against the bad teams but fails against the well-coached, good teams. That's an issue he is now too old to resolve. The franchise is going to have to move on.

A new owner, or a brain transplant...or someone needs to take Ross out for drinks and a serious discussion.

I get the feeling that I have really underestimated Gase and the roster and that's a good thing. If the Dolphins can win this game in Gillette...It's time to dust off all the gear, get out of the shadows and shout proudly and loudly once again for Miami football! Let's go Gase- prove to me you can outsmart Belichick!!!

GM Lessons learned from this week: That receiver on the Jaguars, Keelan Cole makes a strong case for never wasting a high pick on a WR . He's an UFA. Always open Hogan- still looks great, why did we let him go? Must have been Pin Head that let him escape. He was a UFA too! Maybe we need to look at some Lacrosse players to see if there might be a WR out there that is unheard of because our hi

Because of Bowles, I was actually starting to get sympathetic for them until I took one look into the stands and saw the low-forehead set of green clad-people cheering at the top of their lungs, while they were getting crushed. In a millisecond I remembered why I dislike them so much.

I've never seen anything like this in the NFL a 7 hour + game with delays? what's going on?

That's easy to answer: Loyalty. Same reason Cub fans stuck around all those losing years in Chicago...Red Sox with all that disappointment in Boston, Eagles in Philadelphia, etc. Once you pick your team (usually happens somewhere in the pre-teens) that's it..it's your team for life. I guess we are in a bad stage here with the Dolphins, but things can't stay bad forever!

One sad thing I noticed is that you guys used to have hope, season after season-hell- even I did in year one of Sporano/Parcells/Ireland. The optimism has been bled out of even our most cheerful fans- so imagine the regular or semi-regular fans? Who wants to see this loser of a squad live at the game? The silver lining is that an empty stadium will ultimately lead to Ross's exit and then just ha

I hope not Mizzou- I'm hoping the pattern of failure continues until we can rid ourselves of the chief concern; Ross's decisions on hiring. He can stay the owner as far as I am concerned, just get rid of Tannenbaum and hand over the important football decisions to a real football mind. Maybe someone from the Eagles or Jaguars?

Not sure Fin27- depends how high expectations are around camp. If they Ross believes this is a winning team-heads will roll. If he believes it's a "rebuilding/recalibrating season" they'd have to evaluate. I personally believe that management thinks this squad is a winner.

sounds like good reasoning to me fins72- I got to see first hand some transformations of terrible franchises that got converted into good ones many times. It's sad but losing season after season embeds a sense of hopelessness into fan DNA. Once the winning starts up again- the flow of positivity returns but if you've followed this particular franchise for a long time... The reality and negat

Ross is a case study in the fragmented nature of intelligence. Or some people can be smart in some topics and a total fool in others. I'm beginning to think his wealth is more a result of an extreme fortune in timing the real estate market rather than any sort of genius, however.

I guess the NFL wants its fans to think every team is capable of making the playoffs.

Too many moving parts. I doubt it. No mention of the offensive line. No mention of experienced tight ends. No mention of the defensive line or linebackers.

The neighborhood of where Hard Rock Stadium is or Miami Gardens- isn't all too great, I don't recommend staying there. It'd be better to stay near the beach (if you are into that) and just get to the stadium early on game day. If you want to be close to the stadium at all costs- another option to look at is Miami Lakes-but it's really far inland and the only thing there is Shula's Steakhouse.

I'd be happy with taking the "King Solomon" approach and removing the national anthem from the pre-game festivities. Why does it have to be in there anyway? We could return the sport to what it is- entertainment.

I agree Chreyn - this time the NFL has gone too far, and I already see the backlash coming back around to sack the commissioner and owners on this nutty decision. Players Association's response will be intriguing.

Well. the things I read on the drawbacks of these guys. Mayfield is on the small side, and if he played on the Dolphins..there is no way he'd survive 30-40 hits. Darnold has small hands and is a potential Sanchize-like turnover machine. Allen- Inaccurate passer. Rosen has an injury history and is one big hit away from becoming involuntarily retired. Jackson- brains similar to t

Accurate summation. No one except fools expect an immediate turn around after a 6-10 season. This team is doing the right thing and slowly adding the pieces and components to transform into a winner. These Dolphins are probably somewhere in the 8-8 or 7-9 range right now, but look out in 2019!

Yes captkoi, I wonder why that is. Meanwhile, the good GMS around the league capitalized on the sloppy late round drafting of the weaker and clueless franchises. Panthers, Giants, Pats-- usually field good teams year after year, I predict we will see why by looking at this draft in a few seasons.
