Fox Sports 7 round mock had us taking him in the 3rd(#73), before we traded back in the 1st, making him our second overall pick.
Talk about a value pick!

FS is one position that can win you , and lose you games. A game changer. A critical position to say the least.
If, and it's a big if, he's the next Ed Reed, then it's an absolute NO-BRAINER!!!
Our secondary would be absolutely SICK!!!!
Ireland mentioned he was very proud of the way he found Ratliff(NT) in the 7th round for Dallas, and I think he thinks he can do it again. Maybe not the 7th

...for trading our 2007 1st rounder to SF for their 2010 5th rounder.
Because other than 2 KO returns for TDs vs the Jets, that's all we got from him.
What happened Cam? You couldn't talk Harbaugh into coughing up a 4th for Teddy and his family??
Thanks for the setback you tool!!

I'd much rather give guaranteed $$ to an established, elite, proven super-stud like Marshall than to an unknown NFL commodity in Dez Bryant.
We would have paid him 20+ mill guaranteed as well.
As for you Reavis, this ain't no Ted Ginn, Greg Camarillo or Brian Hartline. It's Brandon-friggin-Marshall.
You're going to get to find out up close and personal why he's nick-named "The Beast&qu

Jake Long will OWN JT if they play against each other this year.
Make JT an every down player, and he will be toast by week 13. We know that.
If you think he made zero impact when he went to Washington, it will be even less with the Jets. He's 2 years older.
Let the Jets trip all over themselves trying to land JT. It will make it all the funnier when it blows up in their faces.

He was better than Fasano!? On what level? Not when it came to clutch catches, or key blocks. And Fasano is average at best.
I always saw Haynos just standing around looking lost, when he should have been looking for someone to knock on their ass!!
I know he cost us at least one game last year when he ran a sloppy route and caused a pick at the goal line.
I'm not really that upset about it,
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
The phins just resigned Joey Haynos to an offer sheet or something!?!
I thought he absolutely sucked last year!!!
Can't block and can't catch. REALLY!??!
Someone help me out with this one. Please.
I know I'm no rocket surgen, or the sharpest bulb in the shed, but what am I missing???

Incog pick up....NICE!!!
This guy is not only a solid lineman who will compete to start, he adds quality OL depth, and most of all brings an ATTITUDE and NASTINESS that has been ever lacking.
I love this move!!!

Someone tell Rex, "we don't give a f%#@!k what he thinks about us".
Really? Fat Ass!!
Really??!!
We beat you twice last year.
You started runnig the wild-cat after you said it was just a "gimmik".
You back-flopped into the play-offs, and were stupid-lucky to get as far as you did.
You're the poster child of "Obesity in America".
A complete Tool!

..from Sparano or Ireland or both?
Something in the form of a 'State of the Team' adddress would be nice.
By this time last year, at least Ireland had held a presser and answered some questions from the media.
It just seem really quiet in Phinland, leaving us fans completely in the dark.

Just before the half, bout 35 yder, Dan went wide right. It started right and kept going right. Perfect snap and hold too.
Nate Kaeding thought that kick was ugly.

From coaching this year's Senior Bowl south team, Sparano and Co. may fall in love with a player they get to know from this process.
Since McClain won't be playing in this one, there's a chance someone could emerge more favorable than McClain, even if he's available at 12.
I'm not sure of the entire South roster, but I'm sure it includes a plethera of 1st round talent.
It will be interesting

Sure, Ted Ginn will become a great WR just asa soon as someone sews a pair of balls on him.
Until then, he'll still play like the little beotch he's shown us to be since he got here.
Serioiusly, on a scale of 10:
Speed: 8
Hands: 4
Guts: 2
Strength: 3
Return skills: 5 (would be lower if not for the 2 flukes vs Jets)
Pro Bowl!!?? We're talkin Pro Bowl!!??
I'd rather have Josh Cribbs in

#1 WR - Obvious
NT/DT - better run stuffing and pass rush
ILB - currently weak block shedders and coverage
OLB - currently ineffective pressure
RB - Ronnie is iffy to complete a year/Ricky looked tired and uninspired toward the end of the year.
TE - not producing enough

There has always been amazing college qbs that do not translate to the nfl. Why are so many people amazed that he's completely underachieved for a 2nd round pick. Even funnier are the people that think it's too soon to proclaim him a bust for where we picked him.
Ever heard of Turner Gill or Charlie Ward?
If we keep him, it will be as a wr/rb and EMERGECY qb ala Randel El.

Boo-hoo for Welker, and the Patriots.
I'm sorry he hurt himself and all, but I don't really care.
I liked him when he was with us, but now that he's gone, so what?
If Sammy Morris gets hurt...BFD. They're Patriots now. Who cares?
If he were on my FF team, then maybe I'd care a little more, but that's it.
He'll get paid a hell of a lot of money to rehab and he'll be fine.
See ya in 2 years

Hey fin$#!t34,
At this stage of his career he should at show a miniscule glimmer of some ability for which he was drafted for. Pat White has shown absolutely nothing to justify a 2nd round pick.
I, like many, thought it was a lame pick at the time. A massive reach at best. Especially since there was so much talent on the board that COULD HAVE contributed right away, and for years to come.

I wonder if Jeff Ireland will ever admit that the Pat White pick was an absolute missuse of a second round pick.
There's no way he can now look himself in the mirror and say that was a good pick. Especially at the stage of developement the Fins were in at the time.
That 6 yard out thrown 10 yards short ended any doubt if there was still any, that White was a poor selection.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Bottm line, it all comes down to pass rush.
If we get to the QB consistantly, we win.
If not, we'll need to score in the 40s to have a chance.
