only the most poorly run team would pay a receiver who averages 8 yards a catch like he was Antonio Brown. guess we have our answer. Patriots are paying Edleman like 1/3 that amount, if that. If he wanted a penny more they'd tell him to take a hike and find another slot guy, they are not hard to find. At this point the best outcome (short of Landry taking a reasonable deal in the 10-12 mm range

so let's pay $70mm to keep the worst offense in the league intact?

I don't think anyone wants him to go but that's not the question. The question is paying him like Antonio Brown or Julio Jones which he wants when he's really more on a par with Julian Edleman. You think the Patriots would pay him like a #1 WR? Hell no and they seem to be better at this stuff than we are.

How can u call a 7th rounder a reach?

I think it's a wasted pick. basically any QB taken this year is a wasted pick. Because if Tanny sh#ts the bed this year, we need to replace him for real, and will be taken a QB in the first next year. So any mid to low round pick this year would just be taking up space in that event.

Derek Henry is a 2d round pick at best. He seems to me like a plodding Brandon Jacobs type with a ton of tread on his tires, which is not conducive to a long or dynamic NFL career. Is one of the options in this poll really to draft Derek Henry at #13?

Right isn't he just a year or 2 younger than grimes? And don't want to pay him $16+ per year for multiple years. If we did that we'd be doomed for the next 5 years or more.

guys, we need to stop wanting to overpay whatever FA comes on the market. To sign Norman would take a Suh type deal, which would mean we are paying a QB salary to 3 players on the team---even 2 is untenable. Norman was a 5th round pick, we need to stop going after FAs and do what the good teams do, focus on the draft and pick the right guys for once. From what I hear CAR thinks Norman is more a s

sorry to get back on topic but were are NOT hiring Washburn, instead we are brining back our other DL coach who did a terrible job last year. Not pleased at all with this.

They obviously would have preferred to win. But they are so arrogant they thought they didn't need to try and felt even if they lost and had to play on the road they would win. Just arrogance pure and simple. Glad it bit them in the ass
