This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
The players and players union are no different than society at large today. Everybody "organized" feel they are not getting their fair share. It's mind boggling. People with nothing "in" wanting all they can get "out" like it's their "right". I side with the owners totally. How can anyone logically come to any other choice? The owners have put in their own

Ohhhhhhhh plzzzzzzz!
I'm with eesti completely on this one.
Another scrapbook player like Carson Palmer.
Nothing left but "memories" of when they were special.

We will know next year how well this regime did in this draft, but for now... I see us as having already filled two needs with "starters" and could care less about anything else. Many of us complained about our center's play last year, so we now have young blood there, plus we all could see that Ronnie was not the same back after his last injury. Speed backs are all fine and dandy, but

I am not sold on bringing in Cowher. Defense is not our problem, and if memory serves me...the 2 minute drill and clock management overall was nothing to jump up and down about under his helm. Who handled the draft while he was with Pitt?
Aging coaches, whom already proved themselves by winning the big one, have less drive in my opinion. Another big paycheck flop could be in the making.

THIGPEN... THIGPEN... THIGPEN !
Get the away game chants going Baby !
We fans "deserve" to see a better audition of him after a full week of practice vs. that banged-up / substituted mess of an O-line he was handed in the Bears game.
Throw us a bone coach...instead of laying us another egg!

Avoid this guy. Don't some of you ever watch the Bengals? He's worse than Henne even. No upgrade whatsoever. JMHO

Lord: Sporano !
Coach: Yes my Lord...
Lord: I want you to start Thigpen...
Coach: Will do my Lord.
Fans: But what if it starts raining for 40 days and 40 nights?
Lord: Wet fields favor the offense.

Suit me up! I'll match those 12 drives @ QB and give you all the fumbles and three and outs you can stomach, and then dust me off and let me do it again for ya next week for the only reason... the other team stunk worse.

Make stuff up? Look at the replay and decide for yourself. I was in this guys camp all season, and would like nothing more than see him succeed, but have just lost faith in his ability to get over the hump.
We get the only TD on a 26 yard drive and the Jets beat themselves with dropped passes. After we get the only TD of the game we go on a roll...punt, fumble, fumble, punt, punt, punt, fumble

Henne clearly would have run out of bounds on that crucial 3rd and 3 if not for being tackled "in bounds". His head is not in the game.
He has a gun for an arm, but looked as uncomfortable as he did on draft day when he got the call to come here.

Samsam...I was in your camp last week myself, but this game spoke volumes on why we are 7-6. He has no pocket awareness, he throws balls too hard either in front or into his receiver's legs ala Donovan McNabb, and just makes too many bad decisions at a point in his game where we should be seeing less mistakes. He plays "not to lose", instead of playing loose and in control to win. He ad

We are 4th best D and have been ranked high for awhile. That part of our game is solid, and it shines because it improves over time...while our 2nd from the bottom in the Red Zone offensive stat is just that..."offensive".

It was discussed and shown in slow motion on NFL Gameday just now on the NFL Network. Possible fine was mentioned also.

I will be the first to admit when I am wrong. Others here were games ahead of my final judgment. I must say now I fully embrace your conclusion, albeit late....Henne is NOT our future QB !
Early on I could see the staring down of receivers, the too quick to dump it to the outlet, and the statuesque pocket presence that will get you killed beyond coughing up the ball...but, we not only endured

Agreed...we must beat the Jets for the simple reason "I hate that arrogant team!", as much as I hate the Patriots repeated rise to glory in this their "rebuilding year"...LOL.
I personally do not want a new coach, or a new QB just yet. I am not ready to "rebuild" a house that's still unfurnished. I feel our biggest needs are a solid O-line. Batted balls and tipped

1. You lose your starting 2nd string center for the game.
2. You start a QB, who obviously felt the pressure put upon him to succeed, evidenced by his nervous high throws early, and then crank up that pressure more with a new center, injured DT and no running game.
3. The QB, who thankfully is mobile...runs for his life... whereas our former starting QB would have been fantasy sack stat creator

Relax phin-fans. Thiggy just needs to calm down a bit, Marshall needs a bitch slap from Sporano, and the locker talk at half time will make for a better second half. The Bears are not doing anything great. They can't run against our D, and the dink and dunk is just keeping the ball out of our hands.

I'm used to coaching blunders since he came here.
Let's try a run on first down in the 2-minute drill with no time outs, against an opponent that held us to 64 yards all game. We needed all (4) "passing" downs to just get the ball up field to Marshall or Bess and give Carpenter a chance. Who was he trying to fool? I would have understood a well designed screen play that could get to t

All the pundits last night sided with their paychecks that the call was made correctly. I guess nobody understands the rules of the game. There was no ground forced fumble, there was no knee or elbow down before the ball was coming out, there were (3) Dolphins closest to the loose ball and a Dolphin came out with it. Case closed.
All this BS of not wanting to induce a "scrum" is a joke

I felt pretty much deflated after listening to the game Sunday, no broadcast here in the Northeast. But after watching NFL Replay Tues. Night, I saw many shades of victory.
1. No doubt, we have finally found our QB of the future. Henne continues to show the poise and arm strength we've desperately been seeking. Even that late pick 6 was better than what we've come a custom to (the sack on 4th d

I personally would welcome filling in that dead weekend before the big game with the Pro Bowl. It would help get more support for a game few watch in it's present format. And if it's a hit...we can then focus all our efforts on picking new Thanksgiving Day team participants.
