Perfectly said. And I think we need to keep him because he would give us a very dangerous 4 WR West Coast set.....AND....to keep him from the Pats. They have been rustling through the waiver heaps the last couple years trying to find value WR's. They could sign him cheap and he would add tremendous value to their team. If we had Wallace going deep, a young rookie speedster opposite him go

I wouldn't say Misi is a 'bust'...but he certainly hasn't played up to his 2nd round status. That being said....if we had an impact MLB.....how would that impact Misi's role and play? I agree though...we need an impact MLB. I would prefer we draft a WR 1st overall...but if at our pick...by some miracle...Manti Te'o is available...I would totally be cool if they took him.

There are no sure things at any position in the draft. QB is the highest risk. Not all 1st round WR's become league beaters but most 1st round WR's are legitimate #1 Wr's for their team. I say sign a FA and draft a #1. The Cardinals were great with BOTH Fitzgerald and Boldin....subtract 1...and they become decently ok. When Marino was setting records he had 2-3 SOLID Wr's ( Duper & Clay

Your points are all valid... IMO Hartline lacks downfield speed. He has had great production when our running game is working and teams were playing a variety of coverages. But now that teams have film on Tannehill, they are taking away the stuff that allowed hartline to make big plays. He has great hands and feet. he has the potential to be a #2....and if we have a BIG FAST great HANDS #1

WR is my #1 priority.... I like Wallace...but he needs to have a legitimate #2 opposite him. I am not convinced that Hartline is that guy. I love him...but he seems like a possession guy to me. Ideally...we sign Wallace or Bowe, draft a Terence Williams or Keenan Allen, keep Hartline & Bess...and put those 4 guys on the field. Our RB's are not 'set'...but it will be hard to evaluate

Our top Wr is a 4th round draft pick. Bess is an undrafted FA. Fasano is next...a 2nd round TE. Then Bush and Thomas ( RB's) then Clay FB THEN a WR...Moore and undrafted FA. Someone want to tell Ireland that you get what you pay for! GOTTA draft a WR in the first round. In fact, since we have 2 second rounders...I would draft WR, CB, WR...just to make sure we get a #1 starter.

Oh, I am not saying that Ireland should be the guy making the picks...I just think that we will enter the 2013 season with good picks and extra cap space. I think Ireland would be a great scout. Finding obscure guys to fill the middle of the roster at a discount....but we need a GM that can pick the marquee guy when he is on the board.

IMO, Gerrard getting hurt was the worst thing for RT. If Garrard was in that game yesterday it is a close game...and RT gets to watch and learn. Win or lose, barring injury...Garrard continues to start through to the bye....RT learning, watching etc. I think they cut Dave to save the $2.4 million...and now they can't bring him back without causing a controversy and risk shaking RT's confidenc

I agree. This team would awesome in 1994.....not so awesome in 2012 Some of the talent we have is a bit of luck and a bit of looking in the trash-heap Bess was undrafted Wake and Thigpen were relegated to the CFL Ireland has managed to stockpile some picks...and we will have more salary cap next season...We are in position to rejuvenate this roster with drafts and free agency in 2013

Agreed. You need to have some consistency and patience. That said...you need to draft well. I think Ireland is good at finding 'value'...I am not sure he knows how to find blue chip playmakers. I am 100% convinced that Tannehill was a Philbin/Sherman/Ross pick... But with the Saban 2 yr, Cameron 1 yr, Parcells's Trifecta, Ireland era...we have not accumulated enough talent. Aside f

Most rookie QB's lock in on their target....especially rookie starters. Peyton Manning had 28 INT's his rookie year. The game is faster, the coaches have more experience breakdown film and tendancies, the defendors have more tricks up their sleeve than in college. Those batted down balls were not the result of him being too short, or of bad mechanics, they were 100% because RT stared down

I thought RT showed some good signs for the future. Once he learns not to stare down his target he will have fewer balls batted down. he made some nice throws...but he had the expected 'too much juice' on many. Once he settles down he will be better. Martin and Jerry weren't horrible..had some good snaps...but had some rookie mistakes ( I know Jerry's not a rookie...but he might as well be)

There is a difference between being paid to play football and standing in front of the media here and there with radio and news guys ripping on them, and having your coaches 'rip on you' on tv for everyone t see. I doubt the players signed contracts thinking it included this....and I wouldn't be surprised if the next CBA deals with the whole Hard Knocks thing. It is no wonder teams are sayi

That was the catalyst for sure....but pot under pressure boils faster than one without a lid. CJ was one example...I doubt Wallace enjoyed the ankle-weight thing being nationally televised. But my main point is that Philbin had to play it differently because of the cameras...the coaches come away unscathed...that could divide the team. that whole us & them thing. Hard Knocks just adds m

I agree that in the long run the coaches decisions will outweigh the impact of the publicity. But football is an emotional sport, and professional athletes, while being professional with their bodies, and skills, sometimes lack the emotional discipline it takes to handle a new situation. They are used to playing in front of the crowd...but...usually the wrist slapping, and fire lighting is don

I can't help but feel like this hard Knocks thing is going to create division on this team. Coaches cant truly be themselves, and they must react publicly to things they want to keep private. I am not sticking up for Chad Johnson...you can never hit a woman...but I wonder to what extent his boiling over was the result of being publicly chastised by his coach, who had no choice but to publicly

I am happy with the draft results. It isn't exciting as far as 2012 season goes...but...I feel like we are better over the long run. My one concern is....the Tannehill pick was pretty much a well known fact. They tried to say otherwise...but in the end...we did exactly what everyone said we would. I thought aybe they were deliberatley creating Tannehill buzz as a smokescreen to disguise

I am not sure why Irsay is pimping Tannehill...but it is BS. There has to be an angle somewhere. There is no way that Irsay believes that Tannehill is the 3rd best player in the draft. Maybe he wants an AFC team to overpay? Maybe he is doing an agent a favour? I also am not convinced that WE (Dolphins Front Office) are as interested in Tannehill as purported. With Moore & Garrard t

It's all in the wording. Dez "my dad's a pimp"..."My mom worked for him" Jeff " what work did she do for him?" Is getting the same answer with different words. Ireland drafts well. He has a plan...let see how it works. At least he isn't trading draft picks for guys that can't start on their own teams.

Working for Ross & Ireland was indeed 1 option. Working for the Rams, hiring your own GM, having the 2nd pick in the draft, having a franchise Qb was the other option. yeah, I guess he's lying about Ross & Ireland

You have to look at who is available and what your needs are. If you don't have a franchise QB you don't spend money on a marquee WR. Waste of money and youth ( WR's slow down faster than other positions) We needed to address OL...and we drafted some big pieces...and used medium priced guys over the years to fill in the gaps. Who did you want that we didn't sign?

For If we draft him it is because our new OC, who was his college coach, has faith in his abilities. If we draft him...and Sherman installs an offense with which he is familiar, he will be in a position to compete very early. What are the options? Slim, none, few, and farbetween. If we don't draft Tannehill, we are accepting 2013 will also be a rebuild when we THEN get our franchise

I don't know....I think the guys were loyal to Tony...they liked Tony...most of them anyway... But we always came out slow to start the season and to start games. I think Tony S. may one day be a successful HC....but the circumstances and conditions in Miami did not help get it done here.

Perhaps...but ...that is a possibility that the Bears had to weigh. If the Phins cut Marshall....no guarantee that they would get him. Also, I am sure that the cutthroat, disingenuous GMs around the league recognize that Ross spun it for the fans. Nobody is going to shy away from a deal that allows them to acquire the talent they are looking for because the owner might make it sound like his t

Exactly, Rogers is trying to help a buddy land a job with a solid payday. If we hadn't brought him in, Flynn would signed to some crappy back-QB contract. Philbin brought him in....Ireland gave him a low ball offer that would have brought him in on the cheap. And because of that, Seattle had to up the ante to a respectable contract and chance to compete for the starting spot. If we signed h

When we gave 2 2nd round picks for Marshall he has a couple incidents in his past, but, he was regarded as an elite WR. He played for us and demonstrated that he indeed is a 'very good' WR, but, that he is not that 'elite' guy. IN addition his off-field issues continued to grow. So, we had a guy that cost 2 2nd's, was signed to a #1WR contract, large Cap figure, dropping game winning TD's,
