I would love to see him draft a couple as well. IMO, we should draft DE,WR,CB, WR,LB with our first 5 picks.

What I am saying is.....ANY of them will do. If there are 4 WR's that grade out equally....why pay the highest price? trust me...I see WR as our #1 priority and have said so many times. But why use the #12 pick on 1 of those guys when that same guy may very well be available in the 2nd round. And if not him...one of the others that grades out similarly. Using the #12 on a starting corner

IMO there is no question we need a #1 WR as a top priority. But looking at the crop of WR's in the draft...there are 3-4 guys who are all worthy of consideration....but none are clear 'best in show' guys. I would be fine with us drafting Keenan Allen, Cordarelle Patterson, Terrance Williams as our guy. I wouldn't be upset with any one of them....even Justin Hunter, Tavon Austin would be al

AEG is a company worth $8 Billion....Which is too much for Ross alone. If Ross was serious about acquiring it he would be partnering with serious partners....and they would NOT be making a lot of noise about it. This is totally about the stadium pitch.

This is clearly an attempt to create leverage with the state of Florida. When teams want the tax payers to help pay for stadium upgrades they always create the impression at they could leave. In this case, Ross....a Real Estate Mogul...buying a company that owns sports assets provides a perfect blend of 'viable threat' and 'circumstantial coincidence'. I doubt though, that he has place

The Patriots won 4 Superbowls between 2001 and 2005. They got the benefit of BS phantom Pass Interference calls, the benefit of a little known, never before used 'tuck rule'....AND.....they cheated. They had been stealing signals, audio taping QBs,and taping practices. This helped them beat the Steelers to get into the Superbowl, and helped them win against the Rams and Eagles. Since

Watching Brady scowl, lose his composure on his 'hook slide kick Reed', Billicheat's sore loser performance was awesome! The Superbowl will befun to watch....but last night was my Superbowl! And so continues the decline of the illegitimate dynasty that was built on cheating, luck, and referee favoritism. Buh-bye!

The problem with the debate is that there is a new category of 'mobile' For decades Fan Tarkenton, Randall Cunningham, Steve Young were 'mobile' in that they would evade the rush, buy more time, get out of the pocket, get a first down etc. Now we have the run threat QB...Cam newton, RG3, Vick in his prime. IMO Russel Wilson and Colin Kaepernick started out as 'mobile' and are increasing

Smith is big...which makes him an asset...despite his average ablities. They won't want to pay him huge money...but someone else will...so I can see him getting the Tag and we draft a replacement. Starks and Hartline are important to re-sign....so over-paying a little for them is fine with me. I heard a radio interview with Buddy Nix (Buffalo GM)....and he correctly said...if you sign a

Allegedly Carrol was not angry because he was 'pretending he didn't call the timeout' he was angry because the kicker was permitted to kick the ball. next time call-it sooner....or NOT AT ALL!

I don't know what is going on. Bess, Hartline, Carpenter??? WTF? I don't recall seeing Hartline or Carpenter do anything to tweak or injure themselves? I do not see any value in sidelining Carpenter....and Bess' injury created space for other WR's, and Clay's created space for Egnew....so really there is no need. And I can't see any player willingly being 'fakeinjured/benched'...it is

I wonder if this is their way of getting the young guys in without looking like they are trying to get the young guys in. Especially against the Bills. Won't be able to do it against New England.

1) I think there may be merit to the speculation that ireland is gone. NO contract discussions with ANY of our free agents sounds like Ireland has been frozen out. Wouldn't be surprised if Sherman moves upstairs and they get a new OC...not in favour of it...but wouldn't shock me. 2) Lamar Miller looks interesting...but not enough to rely on him. Agree that we bring in someone. 3) Bush is d

Yup... The problem is that not everyone reads carefully. The point of the thread was to illustrate that a great QB can start out with less than great stats. Not that Tanny is better or as good as Manning, or that the similarity in stats extrapolates. My optimism is that whenI look at Tanny's stats and factor in the lack of deep threat ....I see no merit whatsoever in the trashing of him.

Colts - Reggie Wayne not elite? really? The Colts have Wayne, Avery, Hilton, as well as Luck's college TE Fleener. I would say that is more than we have. You are seriously using Painter as your evidence? Obviously if a team lacks a legitimate starting QB everyone's production will drop....but it is equally true that if you don't have a legitimate Deep Threat WR the QB's production will suffe

Question for you.. If he doesn't have a WR that has the speed to get open deep ( which I think we all agree is the case)....and the result of this is that the defense cheats by playing a shorter field, limiting the middle...Is it fair to expect him to have good production in the middle-deep range? I don't see how it makes sense to judge him on his deep passing when he lacks the cast.

This is true...but... we can see that Peyton Manning, despite having some elite players playing with did not play as well as he later did? And we see that Tannehill has produced similar numbers with less talented players around him? I realize that there is no guarantee that Tannehill's production will improve to the same extent that Manning's did. No one can know or extrapolate that infor

Yes...to Marvin Harrison, Marshall Faulk, Marcus Pollard and Terrence Small. Give Tannehill any 1 of those and his numbers go up too. Give Tannehill 2 of them and they go even higher. Manning had them...Tanny didn't.

The answer to all of our woes is a #1 WR. With an Andre Johnson, or Crabtree, or Megatron the field gets stretched and their is more room for the slot & TE to make plays. If you can't burn them deep? They sit on the middle routes. Draft and sign a true burner and Bess becomes our Welker.

Jonathon Amaya seems like a reasonable choice... I can't find a list of who was active game by game..there might be a better choice...but I would start with him.

True...but KC was a big mess when he went in...and...he doesn't have a QB...so he is screwed until he does. I'm not saying he is magic...but when you have a good QB it makes other players better. OL seem better because the QB makes a quick read and quick throw when they don't block well. They make WR's seem better because they deliver the ball in stride and the guy becomes a game chang

Last week they ran empty backfield several times with a variety of guys playing, Matthews, Moore, Clay,...putting Egnew on the field split out without any blocking responsibilities does not put Tannehill at any more risk than they have already done.

I think there are a few factors contributing to NE's long phase of success. 1) They have a franchise QB - that means wasted fewer draft picks and Salary CAP $$ trying to find one...which means they can use them to develop the rest of the team. 2) Scott Pioli was their GM and has a good eye for talent and valued intelligence as a measureable. During their almost undefeated season New England
