We are happy for the Seahawks loss. The only way a team wins is through a team effort. When too many player's miss assignments, run poor routes, miss tackles, don't pull their weight on special teams its a formula for losing. The opposite gets you wins. Occasionally, one player will really screw the pooch and cause a game to be broken in half, but I think that's pretty rare. Th

My youngest son (27) plays Madden NFL 2013. He laughs about the Dolphins players not performing on the field when he gets them to do wonders for him on the Xbox. He showed me that Daniel Thomas was running for nearly 100 yds per game for him, catching passes, along with TE/FB Charles Clay. Now I know this in no multi-million dollar simulator like what is used to train AF pilots. The inputte

Realist-- I think, and have long believed, since my HS days, that the TE position was a critical player in any offensive scheme. The stereotypical TE, in my opinion is big enough to block, capable of shedding a block, breaking into a pass route when the play calls for it and if possible out maneuver a LB. The size of TEs have changed over the years as bigger boys with athletic prowess have come

Tannehill needs more time at the position. His experience is still pretty low, and based on what I've seen, he is not progressing as quickly now as before. Not only that, there's more video tape on his play for opposing teams to watch and find out what he does well and what causes him a problem. If you rush him, Tannehill does better moving with the ball than if you let him stay in the pocke

Crowder52-- I like the Fasano, the NJ kid who played for Notre Dame; however, he's not as productive as some others in the receiving game a la Gronkowski in NE for example. Fasano is above average, not a pro bowler, and certainly not a superb HOF TE like fellow Golden Domer Dave Casper. I appreciate what Fasano does, but I like to see him do far more. The TE position is under utilized

I read that article too and agree with it. What teams do is to locate the weaknesses of their opponent. Our coaches need to change things up and I'm not talking about passing when a run is expected. A slightly different approach with the personnel we have must be implemented so the opposition is left guessing rather than knowing what will be done. Guessing is good; keep the opponents D guessing

Sometimes you can find a real steal at the bargain basement sale, but most of the time it's a losing proposition and "getting what you pay for" really fits the situation. Anytime a team can get a 3rd,4th,5th or lower draft choice who performs like a top 32 pick...that's time to break out the bubbly and celebrate and to thank your lucky stars, so to speak. The Dolphins should be so

"Woulda, coulda, shoulda," that's the life of a rookie...plain and simple. However, it's not the chant of seasoned veterans. I don't want to hear if from Bush, Long, Dansby, and even Smith. Expect that line from rookies and that goes for Ryan Tannehill, and; I thinks it applies to rookie head and assistant coaches too. Yeah, Joe Philbin owns a SB ring for his involvement with Green

Here is what has happened to our "dink and dunk" game (IMO). Looking at an opponent, I would examine into the weaknesses. I would notice (because I am observant) that the Dolphins have no deep ball threat. So, what that means to me as the observing opposition is that all the defense has to do is play like it was in the red zone, knowing that there is no Dolphin capable of catching

BNF--c'mon man. I know it's hard to be optimistic about things, we can only hope the players and coaches learn from losses. Nobody expected this current team to be a play off contender. What we really hoped for was progress. Progress is seeing the pieces of the puzzle be assembled, sorted, and put together wisely. We aren't foolish, and we shouldn't think that the coaches are either. The

We have some personnel weaknesses and unless there are upgrades made via free agency, the draft will provide little relief in the W-L column. When Jake Long was drafter #1 overall in the draft I expected him to be on top of his game for at least 5-6 years. That time has passed and he is now being outmatched almost every week, during every game by a more robust defensive end. He is still our

Well guys, it's like I said, close, but no cigar. We were outplayed again. We just have too little talent overall on the offensive side and well...it's time for me to go to bed. There's not much more to say. One final remark--Nolan Carroll--you played like a chump.

Wow. Halftime. Thigpen's run was great. Thank you. Nolan Carroll--OMG Where's the push on the O-line? What's happened to Jake Long? It's trade time. Being dominated again...it's hard to take. Tannehill is just there...nobody is open. Fasano-- ? We are not showing any offense. Spiller is a great RB. I wish we had him. I'm not sure there is enough playmakers on th

62-7 Oh yes, that was UGLY. The jury is still out on Tannehill. The jury came back on Henne and he's is a backup QB. We missed on that pick. Hopefully, we have scored with Tannehill. I still remain optimistic about him and his skills and do believe that he continues to grow despite throwing 3 interceptions and being the QB at the helm during that debacle. ----- Tonight is the Bills ga

Holy Mackerel Chyren...the only things I can agree with you on is that I am not a tax lawyer either. I totally disagree about Ross not caring about how he spends his money. I think he does care about the franchise, the crappy attendance at the home games, the obvious piss-poor attitude we have about the team, and wants nothing but a thriving franchise. I also don't see Philbin as egotisti

Thursday is coming up fast. Will the Dolphins make a game of it? Are they still moping, crying in their beers, or are they ready to join the fray and kick some Bison? Did the team learn anything from Sunday's debacle. Who is playing? Who is sitting? Who's not playing because of injuries? Let's hope the Dolphins get back on track and win.

2032. Re: Bush
Guys, I still have to think that it just wasn't the ball being taken away from Bush, but other things he did in practices or in prior games that caused Philbin to pull him. It's not logical to think that it was just for that play. As for Incognito--no one is really arguing over his brief benching. A 2x4 would probably have been just as effective on him. One swift smack to the back of the helm

When things aren't going your way, "fire and fall back." No shame in examining why things aren't going the right way (winning.) Week after week, I make predictions on who will beat whom, and this year I find my picks to be off the mark. One week a team looks terrific the next they are totally inept. The Dolphin team has talent. Tannehill is growing even when things go badly for

2035. Re: Bush
Chyren-you surmise that it was only the lost ball that caused Philbin to temporarily take him out of the game. I suggest it was more than the ball being taken away from him. From our fan position it looks like he was taken out because of that lost ball...it may have been for other things, cumulative things...other missteps he made during recent games, practices and the like. We will never know.

Some call it match ups, others mismatches, the bottom line is weaknesses. A LB that defenses the run but can't cover a slant is a weakness. A CB that tires quickly is a weakness. A substitute player who is not as agile, not as mentally aware, is a weakness. To win, coaches need to field the best team to exploit their opponent's weaknesses. It needs to have a game plan that is consistent w

2037. Re: Bush
Richie Incognito also stood on the sidelines for a long time following a personal foul. Coach Philbin may just be trying to be a disciplinarian by trying to instill a dire need for execution and consistency. Incognito is a bully and needs to be reminded that he's not in charge. As for Bush, he is a playmaker but is not prized to the extent that he can't be sidelined for failing to execute. D

2038. Re: Bush
There is method to this madness. Philbin that is. We only see that Bush was kept out of the game, and don't know the reasons for it. We can only surmise...guess on why that was done. ===== My fan appreciation for Reggie Bush is slipping away. When he was with the Saints he was used sparingly. I'm beginning to see why. Bush is not a hard-nosed running back. He doesn't like to get hit (smar

In a word, "maturity." Perhaps Chyren you are right about Tannehill being "shell shocked." I can make a strong argument that you are correct. Read... Tannehill knows the offense but is still inexperienced in that his time under center has been little compared to other rookies who played for years at the QB position in college. Intelligence is one thing but reacting to mi
