A few weeks ago I started a thread about Tannehill not showing the right mechanics while throwing the ball. He looked very awkward like he was hurt of something. JC closed that thread when things went awry with some posts. Anyway, I have to say that the Tannehill I saw last Sunday was not that Tannehill I wonder about in that old thread. His mechanics were very good. Whatever it was before,

Bess is Cleveland's best receiver. An upgrade for them. Gibson may be an upgrade for us. Let's hope so.

Fully agree that Reggie Bush was not a HB like Ricky Williams and should have been used catching short passes out of back field where he could maneuver and make some real gains. He will do well now--Bad utilization here, mostly misused. As for Miller, I'm not convinced he can't run through holes made by our Oline. The problem is "what holes." Miller has to use more vision and lo

Speaking of the Michigan-ND game-- It's had to imagine any visiting team competing let alone beating Michigan with 115,000 rabid Wolverine fans rooting for their team in the BIG HOUSE. 41-30 victory over the Fighting Irish will drop ND down from # 17 to maybe out of the top 25. Their little win over Temple the week earlier did nothing for them in preparation against the likes of Michigan.

We had terrible thunderstorms in South Florida during the early part of the game. My Direct TV satellite connection was lost and had to resort to analog TV on tiny 14" in my garage. Couldn't see much detail. I tried to log on to the site and it wasn't doing anything, nor was I able to log on to much of anything until this morning I have to think the T-storms caused damage to some Intern

I'd love the Dolphins to win the opener--that's a step in the right direction--without a doubt. I fully concur with Samsam that "this game is one of the easiest games in this year's schedule." Because of it--as BNF said, this is a "must win." Go get 'em Dolphins!

It's worth a try. Josh Samuda was really struggling. Perhaps Watkins has more talent. We shall see.

We can only speculate on which team will be better prepared for the first game. If my recollection is correct, the Dolphins haven't been able to win their opener in many years. The Browns are worse and have a terrible opening game record as they haven't won their opener this century. The odds favor the Fins to win just on that alone. The Oline still has to play as a unit to allow Tannehill t

Will Brady Quinn find a real home? Will he finally become the QB many thought he would become? Is he destined for failure again on a team that seems to be in total disarray? Are the Jets fans marching to the Brooklyn Bridge in droves to make a final leap....? Should they? Or....will this be a miraculous turn around for both Brady Quinn, Rex Ryan, and the Jets fans? As TreasureCoast... opi

I'm sure this guy can take a joke. With his last name, he must have been ribbed quite a bit as a kid. With that in mind, he's probably a tougher guy than Rodrigues and may fare well for us. How he contributes is up to game strategy. If he can block, and catch the ball when his number is called, and be rough and tumble on special teams...he's a keeper. My guess is that he will adapt quickly t

I sense we will sweep Buffalo and the Jets this year. Other than these two, it will be up for grabs each week. I anticipate a lot of close games too. I'll be surprised if we win more than 9 games.

Well TRUTH, your projected roster seems pretty sound based on last year's season and the 5 games the team spent assessing draftees and pick-ups. Caleb Sturgis is a good pick--very solid. I don't think we have to worry about the kicking game with him and Fields in place. I also think that we have done well at WR. Some wrinkles need to be ironed out and that should happen in the next 2-3 game

1873. Re: TE
I agree, Clay isn't the guy. He can't seem to break free from defenders or find the gap. His productivity hasn't been very impressive and I don't expect him to step up to the challenge or opportunity to replace Keller. We're in trouble. Big glaring weakness mid field and in the end zone.

Eesti--I guess you should have "noted" that some guys from other teams were recently cut from the start. Words have many meanings. It's like when I get around some old friends that jerk my chain when I say I like this player or that player. One of them always wise cracks about the word "like" and that it has multiple meanings. You know, "do you like him, or really

jlyell, I do believe we will have a top 5 defense this year but it will be so with Starks in there playing his part. Your point about the red zone I agree with--we are still in trouble based on what I've seen thus far. It's like we trying to pass through a mine field. We are too tentative once we reach the end zone, too timid and too shy. Our coaches need to study those teams that make it look

I have to agree with Finshady--Charles Clay is not the answer at TE. In fact, I had hoped he would be a good sub for Fasano (when we had him) and that really never panned out. After watching him play against TB, my vote is cast to trade or cut him. He's not a full back and he's not a very capable TE. Whatever athleticism he possess doesn't show up on game day. If we can't trade him--I say dump

The Goodyear Blimp just passed over our house heading for the stadium. I'm looking forward to a strong, coordinated play from our starters tonight. Go Dolphins.

I'd like the kid to be successful--a hit, a star. Only time will tell if he has the receivers to make completions. If both occur, we will be happy, because that translates into (more likely, than not) wins. Go Dolphins!

Ad Hominem, Ad Infinitum; I say there's no need for personal and continuing attacks. I'm not interested in perpetuating insults between various parties. That was not my intent. I don't post to prove anyone wrong or inaccurate. It's just discourse.... All I wanted was for those who might have been more observant, examined and reviewed more closely than me, the pre-season mechanics of our st

Why did this thread turn into a pissing contest? C'mon, this topic was just something I was observing or not observing in RT's play. It shouldn't have become pistols at 6 paces....

ChryenB--you're pointing to game change philosophy that's causing RT to look so awkward to me. I'm not sure that's the case. In pre-season, they are experimenting with everything. That I get. And seriously, that could take any player out of their "comfort zone." If the coaches are trying to make RT adapt to a pocket passer--I agree that would be very foolish--not RT's strong suite

I'm talking pre-season QB play. I've watched all three pre-season games and I don't see any improvement with RT over last season. I know it's early, but RT seems to be throwing awkwardly. His arm movement isn't fluid to me nor is his balance. Is is me? Am I the only one seeing this? Matt Moore seems to be totally out of synch. Devlin, on the other hand seems to have more poise than RT o

My thoughts on RB. Miller will be our first back and if he does poorly (fumbles, misses blocks or non-existent blocks) Thomas will replace him. For short 2-3 yard gains and especially around the goal line, I expect to see Gray. He's shown straight ahead power. This would mean Miller, Thomas and Gray will be our backs, in that order. We'll all know if a few weeks.

Dion Jordan is probably a good prospect. However, he'll never rise to the occasion until that bum should is 95%. It's going to take more therapy. In the meantime, we wait. Once, again, we wait. We all hope and pray this draft selection will be successful. I agree, the young man needs to add some bulk to his frame. Just 10 pounds will help.

What I find so interesting is that all the so-called TV experts had no clue that Ireland would opt for a pass rusher. All the mock drafts, except for a few select picks, were off...and way off on the Dolphins selecting Dion Jordan. I was taken back when it was announced that Oakland had swapped with the Dolphins and shocked when Dion Jordon's name was called. Presently, I'm not sure whether I

I just saw Mayock's prediction showing that we take Fluker at 12 and the Jets take Eifert at 13. It turned my stomach! If that happens, Eifert will burn us two games each and every season. I say no. Don't let Eifert slip to the Jets...let's burn them with him. If he's available at 12, our pick, we need to take him and add more receiving power to our offense.
