I believe you are mistaken. While Quinn was picked at #22 of the first round, the Browns had the #3 pick in that draft, and took Joe Thomas. To get #22, they had to trade their second round pick in 2007 and their first round pick in 2008 to Dallas. Thus, Quinn cost them a second round pick as well as a first rounder the next year.

I personally think he had a brain fart, it was a poor call. Having said that, however, I think he got robbed, on the replays it looked to me like the guy got the first down.

Of course there is another way to look at it, the pundits are all looking at it differently. We all know that the pundits are idiots for the most part. I think you've got it right.

I think we can put to bed the "GINN vs QUINN" debate - QB Quinn stinks, and WR Ginn stinks. KR Ginn is at least decent, so I guess we won this one. Still, both teams wasted that first round draft pick. We won this one, too, though, because they had to trade up to get Quinn, so he cost them a lot more than Ginn cost us.

He showed in camp that he has an accurate leg, but showed also the same weakness that Carpenter has - short kickoffs.

I hate the Jets, and Ryan isn't particularly endearing, but I still find this article sort of sad and pathetic.

A win IS a win, but the NFL exists for only one reason - entertainment. This had to be one of the most boring football games I've watched in the past 50 years.

He still gets suckered out of position once in a while, but he will hit you, and he clogs the middle most of the time. He has shown me that when Ferguson is done, he will be ready. I like the kid.

Maybe now we can get somebody in there that can stuff the run AND cover the pass- uh, do we have somebody like that?
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Yes. I'm disappointed now but I totally agree. However, there aren't any guaranteed wins in this league so we've got to be ready!

This may be difficult for you to do, as it was for me, but- try to be objective: several weeks ago, I suggested that Ginn wasn't a no. 1 receiver, but would make an "excellent" no.2. Someone asked me what I had seen to make me believe that. After reviewing some tape on Ginn, I have to acknowledge that he has a point. After today's game, I now think that that belief is not valid. Lots o

I have been of the "Ginn has potential" school of thought, and after his catch last week, I thought he was on his way. He's not. Last week's catch was perfectly delivered by Henne. This week. Ginn proved that if he needs to make a catch with his hands, he can't do it. If we need a reception to keep an important drive going, he can't do that, either. Worse, he will not fight for the ball

Feidler?!? Wow, talk about living in the past. I never could figure out what people hated Feidler for, anyway. Not being Marino? Not his fault. Besides, of all the post-Marino QB's, until Pennington, he had the highest winning percentage, BY FAR. What's to hate? He was a winner.
As for Ginn, he is a fine #2 WR. He was drafted as a #1, but that's not HIS fault. He has a place on this team, we

Yes. No ifs, ands, or buts-Yes, he is. Problem is, he's an excellent #2 receiver. We need an excellent #1 receiver. Maybe he can be that guy, but he isn't now.

I absolutely HATE those incredibly ugly orange jerseys. We've won in those games despite the jerseys, not because of them (though we might have gotten an advantage when the 'Skins and Patsies couldn't stop laughing at guys looking like giant orange sherbets). However, I wouldn't really care if they dressed like the little sisters of the poor if they beat the jets.

Agree. Nothing Stephen Ross did impacted anything on the field. If fans come out to see Ross' "minority owners" and generated that kind of excitement during the game, I can only see that as a positive for this franchise. It doesn't effect the product on the field at all.
