I think it definitely an odd situation. TMZ is saying they found him at the LAX getting ready to fly back PA on Saturday night. I think Gase is doing the right thing but not immediately allowing back not the team like nothing has happened. Miami could even suspend him for a game. The next game is @Jets. Not over look the Jets, but the Jets are terrible and the one team Miami should have no proble

No thanks to Kapernick. ignoring that national anthem protest and Castro t-shirt he wore, he just isn't a cerebral qb and I don't see him fitting in Miami system. It took Tannehill about 3/4 of season with minicamps, OTA, and training camp to finally become proficient. I just don't see any QB worth signing but a current QB on the roster or someone who has been in Gase system before.

The Giants didn't blitz Brady. They were able to apply pressure with the front four. When the Dolphins have had success against Brady it has been the same way.

I think he is average at best and i wouldn't have picked up how 5th year if I was in charge. I have seen him get smoke by pass rushers over his 3 year career and hasn't seemed to make much progress since his rookie year. Maybe it's the musical guards next to him affecting his play. For a 1st round pick, I think he is a borderline bust. he would be fine if he was a late round pick contributing.

This year is a weak QB draft. I am willing to give Tannehill another year based on the progress that he made last year.

I will have to trust that Grier and the scouting department did their homework. I am sure they had their reason for picking him over Foster who is still in free fall (diluted sample, potential attitude, potential shoulder issue). ESPN (Kiper?) put Harris at the 17th best prospect, NFL Mayock gave him a 1st round grade. I think it was one ESPN commentators who said that he looked faster on fil

It looks like either Reuben Foster LB or Charles Harris DE could be available. I wonder if Miami could trade back.

I read that Tannenbaum's strategy is to fill the roster holes with free agents so Miami can draft the BPA. I would expect to see them pick up a cheap G and LB in free agency before the draft. I would expect Miami draft to draft the BPA on defense in the first few rounds and OG. I just hope they don't use a 1st rounder on the OL.

Their is an article about him not loving football. One thing I picked up in Adam Gase precombine press conference from a couple weeks ago is that Gase was looking for more ways for Cameron to productive. During the season he went back through his 80 catch Cleveland Brown season. My take was Gase was stumped and was wondering how the f@&! did Cameron catch that many balls. Apparently he play

This years LT free agent market was petty active and many marginal players got large contract. I wonder if Miami played their cards a little too with trading Albert for a 7th in 2018.

Lot of activity for the Dolphins yesterday. I found one tweet that say Julius Thomas contract was restructure to $6.2M average for the 2017 and 2018 contract year, it seems reasonable considering that Dion Sims signed with the Bears for 3 years for $18M. I didn't realize previous but Fasano is excellent run blocking TE, seems like a reasonable to deal. They signed OG from the Bears Ted Lars

In the Herald they are reporting that Andre Branch's contract is 3y $24M with performance escalators of up to $3M. (Those escalators are probably are sacks and/or pro bowls). $8M annually is still pretty high for a player I though going to be closer to $5-6M.

Kenny Stills signed for 4 years $32M with $20M guaranteed money. Crazy that Stills signed for less average money than Branch. It will be interesting to see how much Branch's contract is and how guaranteed money is included and how likely he is to get the last year.

It looks like branch has signed a contfact. 3 year / $27m, that is more than I expected. I was expecting something in the $6M/year range. Atleast it's one less hole to fill.

Much like last year, their are a lot of teams with tons of salary cap room. Some of these teams have enough cap room to make multiple big name free agent acquisitions. About 2/3 of the league has cap room for at least one big ticket free agent and their just aren't that many elite players on the market. By now, I would have hoped Miami would have signed at least one of their free agents of Stills

I saw Adam Gase and Chris Grier combine press conferences. Gase called out Devonte Parker publicly again and use an example of him not showing up for a workout. I am sure this is strategic, but I wonder what confidence Miami's coaching staff has in him and perhaps even thinking long term past his rookie contract (i.e. does he pull it together for a breakout contract year and cashes in/checks out

I though Lamar Miller was going to net us a 4th round pick, but it looks like he missed a few games and it probably didn't help that Houston had such poor qb play. It is kind of nice that Rishard Matthews put up decent numbers to net is a 5th round pick.

The Miami Herald has an article saying that Stills open market value may be as high as $12M per year. Holy crap that is higher than I expected. That is just too much for someone who probably will never make the probowl. I was thinking it was going to more in the 6-8 million range. A lot of teams have slarary money this year I guess we are going to see more rediculous Olivier Vernon type con

It wasn't guaranteed that Jax was going to release him this year. jax did pickup his contract on 2/10/17 rather than buy him out. I am OK with trading a 7th round pick for Julian Thomas if his current contract is reduced.

I looked up Julius Thomas's contract and it sucks. Even with Jags eating the signing bonus portion (3.6M), its 7m (3m guarenteed) for 2017, 8.5m 2018 and 9m for 2019. After 2 bad year their is no way TE would command a 3year / 24.5m contract. Even if you look at is at the contact as year to year 1 year $7m is too high for a prove it type contract. Even if he plays at pro bowl level the remaini

Initially I was thinking it should be a no brainer that Miami should sign him to a long term contract, but I am not sure and it probably depends on his contract demands. It is not that I don't he isn't a contributor to the Dolphins, but I am thinking longer term about Miami's other 2 young receivers. Landry is obviously going to get paid (and Miami should pay him because he brings other intangibl

The reports are that Miami is releasing Brand Albert. Initially I was thinking that Miami would keep him because they would need another guard, but the further I thought about given that Tunsil is a starting caliber LT, it essential mean by Keep BA we would have an extra $10.6M tied in a OL. BA is due $8.9M this year and with cap savings of $7.2M, that money could easily be used to pay for anoth

I think Zach Thomas should be in the Hall of Fame as well, but I have a feeling he going to get snubbed. I don't know if any of you read Miami Herald article last week that was an interview with Jason Taylor. He discuss some of his injuries. A couple of the comments about the previous coaches stood out to me. Some of them we already knew, but it is interesting to get the insight. -He ment

This year is supposed to be a rep draft for TE. It might be worthwhile to take one in this draft but I am not sure if the 1st round the best choice given the needs at LB and DE.
