certain players deserve to be treated a little diffrently with a little more respect...its not always about $ and anyone who truly belives that has a scewed view of the world...the best example i can give is how the bruins treated r.bourque by granting him trade to a contender in the end of his carreer...he had given them years of dedicated service and was beyond a cedit to the franchise and had

havent weighed in on anything in a while but need to give my 2 cents on this i'll be the first to admit i have an idealized view of the loyalalty both teams and players should have...imo it is what is missing from sports nowdays..i can remember as a kid being able to name the entire bruins lineup and i never really considered myslef that fanatical but player stayed with a team longer then a

was never really a deion fan even when he came to the boys(they are my"other" changed my mind alittel when thwey got spanked by the cardnals in the playoffs...he ran down a rb after the guy ripped off like a 60 yd run and you could see him visibl pissed after while the rest of the boys stood around well liek some of our guys do during soem of our lack of heart losses ...still lnot a big

well nobody but jets fans...i get your point just competely agree ...afc championship game is something to hand your hat on when you are the fins or the jets right now and would be a nice little run to enjoy as a fan but thats just my take

thats just where i difer with soem i guess..would much prefer having the fins make a run like them dont necesarily think you need a sb to have the "last laugh:" so to speak....i know it is the ultimate goal but despite are very weak playoff run...err i mean game last year i took great pleasure in asking all my pats fan friends who was the current afc east champs all off season

yeah maybe a little but you are missing my point a bit i think...the colts are already without a doubt in the elite..they already have the swagger...theyy already know they belong...do the fins feel like that...while i somewhat see what you are saying it is not exactly the same thing...but yes i do feel by not finishing strong they somewhat took away that feeling of"we are the colts and we

i dont see losing intentionally for better draft position as part of this discussion...imo any organazation that would even consider this (i dont believe there to be any)doesnt belong in the nfl while i can take soem solace in a higher draft choice my position is that i would be happeir fininshing strong and building a winner than gambling on a higher draft choice..either way you look at it it

as dolphan said i do understand the point of a better draft but what you are failing to see is that losing develops a loser mentality so you draft a higher player next year but your vets are maybe just a little more beat down as opposed to feeling like they belong among the elite teams....not to mention if you are an elite FA who would you be more looking to sign with us or thejets

well not really ur trade reaps nothing while a "pointless win" is something to build on going forward...maybe it doesnt but look att he jets...confidence can elevate a team is the point im trying to make ...you and others may not see that and may be rigth that we may get soemoen who helps turn the team around at #12 that we wouldnt get a few picks later...i get that but it doesnt coem

again t his i swher i differ ...draft pick number 12 is gonna have a better career than draft choice # 15 ...really you know this?

cb ..gotta differ with you....even witoout a playoff bi ddo you really belive battling back to beat the reigning sb champs in the season finally has no positive effect on the team going forward...very shortsighted imo

yeah just dont get that point of view(detroit gets high draft choice every year) want a team full of players who expect tpo be in the playoffs cuz they were last year...at least the way i see it plus getting to see a few more games helsp to but just my view

is kind of cool and scary at the same time to hear ricky say that considering how he doesnt really come across as ultra competitive...always kind of wondered how much winning and losing got to him with the whole "there are things more importantthan football"attitude after his retirement as for the players they are talking about i hope they are gone next year ...when i as a fan care m

in the begining of the season we were blowing leads not finishing teams and in the end we start flat or relatively so and rally to come just short?...sooo frustrating
