Now with Ramsey on the trade block Im for holding steady at 13. We are going to need that top 10 player that is going to drop. Might be Johnson. I wanted Banks or Grant but if Johnson drops Im going for him. In my head I would like to see us trade Ramsey to SF for their second, flip 3rds and throw in a 7. We rebuild our secondary, bring in DLineman that can contribute and Oline depth. Draft would

I'm going with the need in this draft tsstamper. We have to get the big strong guard that can push his man off the line for our run game to work. That was the difference in our run game in '24 vs '23. Hunt would drive his man back. I like Warren but he would be a luxury pick. A TE with blocking skills is important to our run game. I liked the TE from GA Tech, Hawes. Thought we could snatch hi

I would actually rate a healthy Tua over Hurts comparing the physical components. Hurts is smarter than Tua and that is big. I agree, we should never have gone into the season w/ Jones and Eichenberg at guards, even the fans saw that. Jones is a decent backup at best. Brewer is a good mobile center but not the strongest so the last thing we needed was to flank him w/ weak guards. I think th

Yep while Im happy to see Crossman go I hate to see Welker go. I think Grier told McDaniel these guys gotta go. Its good in a way shows the position coaches that they are responsible for their guys. If Hill is a problem its Welker's job to hold him responsible. I remember a Phins game in the early 90's on NBC, the Phins had a screw up on defense and they showed Shula tearing Olivadotti (To

I hear you Stamper and partially agree/disagree. Im indifferent towards Grier coming or going but I do think a better coach would have gotten more out of these players in 2023 & 2024.

Grier - We proved in 2023 we can win with the players he collects. Van Ginkel and Hunt were the 2 players I hated to lose in 2024 but that is the modern NFL. The defense was ranked #4 in total defense and in the top 10 in the other major categories. We were able to replace Van Ginkel and Wilkens. I actually think Grier should not take so much input from McDaniel on player acquisition. I saw t

I have been patient w/ the owner and front office long enough. They all have to go. We need an owner that knows football. Grier has gotta go. McDaniel's gotta go. These guys just don't learn from their mistakes. Playing musical chairs w/ the oline in practice, bringing in player's w/ injury histories, seeing the backup qbs inability to run the O in preseason and keep them and more. Defensive

I like the Huntley move. I remember him starting 4 games for the Ravens in 2021. I think that was his second year in the league. He was poised, appeared to know the playbook and did not make stupid mistakes. Ravens lost all 4 games but none was by more than 3 points. His teammates seem to have confidence in him. He could teach Tua how to get down. He is a good runner but is smart enough not to ta

I think its obvious that should we lose Tua that White and Thompson cannot run this offense. We need a veteran like Tannehill as backup if we want to go deep in the post season. White stunk with the Jets not sure what the front office and staff saw in him. Thompson has some talent but is still showing that he is not ready to be depended on.

I like the draft so far. Chop is a high value player. Smart, hard hitting Penn St LB. I would not mind seeing him at MLB when Chubb and Phillips return. Paul is more of a technique than brute force OT in my opinion. A pure tackle who I don't think can play guard he will need the year behind Armstead to develop. I really like Wright, he gives us another reason to keep DC up at night figuring o

Yep, Kolen was one of the unsung guys on that team like Swift, Ball Matheson each at one time in the 72/73 seasons made a key play to make that team the greatest. Man if we could have kept Warfield, Zonk and Kick. Pittsburg, the Raiders and anyone else could not have stopped us.

Regarding: Wilkens - Im happy we did not sign him. As I stated before I think his stats were inflated by his performance against bad teams. Stats were not there against the good ones. Im sure this was seen in film reviews. Hunt - Really wanted to retain him but not at the price Carolina paid. Van Ginkel - A big surprise. Vikings are getting a deal if he signs at the price that is being q

Just chatting w/ some guys from the Bmore area this morning and brought up Weaver. They said good choice by the Phins. I understand he was popular w/ the players and 1 or 2 could follow him to MIA. Not only popular but demanding, no concerns that he was not the DC (they said he is certainly qualified) and some in the org thought he should have replaced Martindale.

Weaver should be a good DC. Ravens run a good organization and tolerate no weak links in the chain. NP w/ him getting passed over. Look at the guys that got the job over him. Now he is ready. Younger players react to coaches who command their respect. They don't respect a coach they don't listen, that simple. Fangio wasn't fully engaging the player's because it appears that he really did not want

Chiefs. Swifts solid w/ me, not exactly a fan but she's done no wrong. Shows up and watch her man and the nfl can not miss an opportunity when it comes to promoting themselves. Regarding kids, the NFL Nickelodeon commercials annoy me more.

Who is supposed to call plays. Is Frank Smith a play calling genius now? Its amazing how some of these idiots calling themselves reporters today just say things w/ no knowledge of personal. "McDaniel should give up play calling", yeah. Some of McDaniel's play calling was brilliant. Most was pretty good. I think we were the number #1 rated offense in 2023. I do not want to see pla

Im w/ the Fangio just didn't want to be in MIA club. Disenchantment w/ your job breeds discontent. Guys like that start to have issues w/ their head coach, assistants, players etc. They need to go. Pro players like discipline contrary to rumors. They know it takes discipline to win. Being an ahole is a different story, having a 'doghouse' doesn't work in this day. Keeping a player sidelined in

Nope, watch some KC film, he gets double teamed when the edge rusher comes up & plays off his left shoulder. Wilkens moves further inside & faces the guard/center. I see that, its understandable. When he goes 1 on 1 w/ the OT the tackle won the most battles (my recollection). One play the tackle popped out on the edge rusher and the guard held Wilkens up 1 on 1. It was a good play by

Miami was amongst the worst of the playoff teams, I agree. I earlier posted how we won against weak team. This year we beat them and did not play down to their level. Prior seasons we played shell games w/ the oline and sucked, this year we won with the cards we played on the oline. I did not expect us to go to the super bowl this year. I expected us to go 13-3 against a weak schedule and win 1 p

Lions, my dad was a Lions fan back in the 60s plus I like Dan Campbell. Thought he would make a good head coach when he was with the Phins. I also thought it would be good for him to understudy under a coach like Sean Payton. So I was cool when the Phins did not retain him. I can root for the Chiefs too. Good to see the them reclaim some of that old glory from the Hank Stram years. That Len Da

OLine played well this season. Butch Berry did an excellent job building an effective squad for each game this season. I questioned if he was the man for the job when he was hired and he proved me wrong. We were (in nfl): #1 in total offense #1 in passing yards #1 QB - Tua #1 WR - Wilson #6 in rushing #2 in receiving yards #5 in sacks allowed #10 RB Mostert That's because of the oli

I agree, I think we have seen Tua at his best and its not good enough. Cut your losses now and move now. Im almost as equally displeased w/ Wilkens. He is too immature. He needs to channel his energies into being dominate and a team leader. I said in the preseason this team should go 13-3 and they did not. Front office has to make some hard decisions. This is a good team but there are problem

I often warn against falling in love w/ a player. I like Wilkens but if you notice he has no sacks in our 3 losses. He has been feasting off bad teams. The reality.

The person we need on this defense is Davis. He is the unsung hero of that front holding the center. 2023 our D sucked when he was out. You could see it this season then they signed Hand and he can handle the job while Davis gets a breather. Wilkens will be the Gesicki of 2024. We will learn we can live without him. Chubb carries too much dead money on his contract to let go. Its time to

I am expecting to see Wilkens walk this off season and am ok w/ it. We have some hard decisions to make and saving the oline is first. Am very happy to see Jackson get a 3 year extension today and also think the Phins agree, the Oline is first. Next up is Hunt. Williams I would let walk and draft a center (young man from UGA) and sign a f/a. Eichenberg is signed thru 2024. Then we have V
