If things don't change, this isn't going to play out well. From Ross' perspective, the city of Miami is not exactly throwing a ton of support behind him and his football team, and I'm afraid that this is going to turn quite ugly down the road. I hope it doesn't, but something has got to give. If there's on thing the history of the NFL has taught us its that the city of Miami needs the Dolphin

I actually think its an interesting idea because the rivalries we would gain could actually be be greater than those we lose. Just think about it for a minute. Many of the greatest rivalries in sports are aided by geography and proximity: Yankees vs Red Sox Auburn vs Alabama Duke vs NC While our history against the Jets, Pats, and Jills is significant, we're still the odd man out by bein

I'm not saying Ireland wasn't savvy for moving up to snag Jordan. He was smart for doing so. All I'm saying is that Brandon Albert was not, at all, a smoke screen in doing so. They are entirely independent deals. If the chiefs had agreed to part with Albert for a low 3rd, we'd have both Albert and Dion Jordan on the roster right now.

Let's be honest here, the whole thing with Dion Jordan was not planned at all. We couldn't strike a deal for the 6th pick so Ireland tossed a crazy trade proposal to the Raiders at the last minute and they accepted. So Brandon Albert wasn't a smoke screen; we wanted the guy, but just not at the price KC was selling him for. Don't get me wrong, I think Ireland has done a great job this offseaso

Its funny that all the people who wanted Ryan Swope can't even spell his name correctly. You guys must have really done some extensive research on him that led you to the conclusion that the Fins should draft him. I'm sure it wasn't based SOLELY on the fact that he went to A&M.

Bush doesn't consider himself to be a "second" anything. He's not going to sign with a team who can't promise that he'll be the feature back, as he's clearly shown he can be.

At one point Ronnie Brown was one of the best backs in the league. Alex Smith has always been...Alex Smith. Not to mention the career length of a QB is about twice that of a RB. We also drafted Ronnie before the league mentality fully switched away from having a workhorse back.

Even if he did tear those ligaments, it isn't necessarily a death sentence. Just go ask Adrian Peterson.

Mike Wallace is not the kind of personality that Philbin wants on the team. He has clearly shown that talented but troubled players have no place on his roster. Jennings, on the other hand, seems like the perfect fit even at the age of 30.

Then how do you explain our receivers dropping balls directly in their chest/hands? That must be Tannehill's fault too.

The difference between us and <insert any good team> is the talent at WR. The receivers on other teams make the plays they're paid to make. Ours do not.

We have a TON of cap space this year, so look for a lot of holes to be filled via free agency. I suspect Ireland will try to shore up the offense with proven playmakers, and then draft conservatively again.

There seems to be some misconception that other elite QBs regularly make a handful "Eli Manning in the Super Bowl" throws on the last drive to win the football game, which just isn't true. Nearly every game winning drive I see involves the QB finding wide open receivers who bust big gains up the middle, or fantastic toe-tapping sideline catches...both of which are heavily dependent upon

I agree. Let's get rid of our only offensive weapon and our pro-bowl LT, because LT's are so easy to replace.

Zach Thomas has always had twice the passion, heart, and desire of any other modern football player and it was on full display yesterday. If I were Ross, I would beg Zach Thomas to be involved with the team in some way.

There was one VERY telling moment in the episode that explained everything. Ireland is speaking to someone off-camera, presumably Philbin, and says "If he's in our long-term plan, I won't even consider trading him." Obviously Davis was not. Ireland is simply trading guys that we don't want around when the smoke settles, as opposed to just letting them walk.

I read a story a while back about some guy saving a woman from drowning at the beach, and then she promptly turned around and sued him. I guess no good deed goes unpunished. Good on you though.

You just can't become a great team without taking a few chances on some guys.

I laughed out loud at the prospect of lining him up at receiver...then I wept when I saw people actually voted for that.
