Right now, users wishing to sign up for the boards must respond to an email once they enter their information. That prevents the bots from automatically registering.

Unfortunately, JC is right - some spam companies employ large groups of people who do nothing but post spam to websites like phins.com. And there's really nothing that can be done about that.

Fortunately, when they do post, they usually only get one or two posts up before I ban them. But adding a "captcha" picture to the registration page won't help, because it's a person.

I do wish there was some way to stop them, but I don't know of any.
