I've mentioned this before. Chad Henne had one potential INT dropped in 2010. Mark Sanchez had 15 potential INTs dropped. The league average was 6. How would opinions change if Henne had 5 fewer INT last season, while Sanchez had 9 more added to his totals?

Dfference is he makes Plays when they count. The Jets went to the AFC Championship. 2 years staight. Stats are NOT everything. WINNING is.
as with you all I've seen and obsessed over every dolphins play of every game. there is a 100% difference in the command of the huddel and the way the team reacts to the QB, we've all seen it, it's not just the playcalling

And QBs get way too much for credit for winning and way too much blame for losing. Of the 4 major US pro sports, one individual player has less impact in football than in any other sport. There is no coach or personnel man who would take Trent Dilfer over Dan Marino. But, Dilfer has a ring, and Marino doesn't.

That point has been made so many times it's been crushed into a fine powder 70 feet down under the earth. The Point is, Chad Henne is NOT Dan Marino OR Trent Dilfer. At this point he's not Even Mark Sanchez.
I gave up on Henne last year, but I will support, root & be optimistic about him going into this year, for no other reason then............at this point we've got no other choice (and D-mark brings up some compelling points about him)

You'd be surprised, TCP. Back in the days when Fiedler was our QB, there were several people on this forum who wished everything horrible on him, including the team losing while he was QB.
I gotta admit it , the last game of the year I was kinda hoping he would suck. I figured with a 3 game losing streak it would be the last nail in his coffin here. Maybe even be Saprano's last game. I guess that that didn't go as expected huh? Came close to losing Saprano but we can't even fire people correctly.
But at the begining of the season I really hope they turn it around. I bleed Aqua and Orange. I want to win.
Plain and simple if you told me, you could have Chad Henne at his contract, or Sanchez, at his. The no brainer is Chad Henne. Sanchez has no more solidied him self as a franchize QB then Chad Henne. One guy has about 60 million against the cap and the other guy less then 5 million... And this coming year, I expect Henne to clearly seperate himself from Sanchez and become the Franchise QB for the Dolphins..
Sanchez upper hand in the matter was nurture or being catered to and a better offensive cordinator for his style combined with an elite offensive line...
Maybe the jets just have a better Oline and recivers, but I have seen him complete some nice deep balls. When he airs it, I hold my breath everytime. I can't even remember the last time henne went deep and completed one.
Treasure, the reason that play worked, and he could go deep, we had a running game going so the play action worked, and then we had speed to get the downfield seperation to go deep.. We couldnt create those 2 in tandem very much last year... But I agree it seemed sometimes he didnt let the play develop or see the field well enough at times to make some deeper throws work.. It didnt seem that the deep ball was a primary read in Hennings offense very much either...
Then I would like to see some emotion from him. Don't put your head down and just be OK with it. He's not a small dude. Next time Marshall opens his mouth he needs to step up and grab him by the face mask . He really needs to take control. I want to see him run that offense, not just participate in it. The Robot shit doesn't cut it for me. F the feild goals and make some plays. God I hope I'm wrong about him.
